Fantastic performance all round, but Villa were poor.

No press, didn't create much from the few chances they had on the counter, and didn't have any clue how to deal with the press.

Nunez creates so much havoc, even if he doesn't score, he creates goals (Diaz taps in the second if Cash doesn't get a boot on it, header going wide but Salah is there, etc).

Slobozlai's goal reminded me of Thiago's vs Porto.

Instead of playing more defensively in the absence of both starting CBs, Klopp went the other direction. Good choice.

Impressed with the referee who managed to do his job without inserting himself into the match.

I think we need to show more still, Villa did some weird stuff; they weren't really pressing and at the same time there was some space in behind, but there are some good signs.

I've always said that the easiest way for a team to be called shit, is to lose to us.

They have only failed to score in 2 games since Emery took over. With Gomez and Matip likely to start together combined with Villa's pace out wide, i do have a slight worry about tomorrow. Fancy a high scoring game, so hopefully Mo and Darwin have the shooting boots on.

There really are some leaders on that pitch. A bit of a cliche, yes, but it's more real than it has been, and for such a younger team, that's great. Very pleased with most of those performances, but a special shout out to Gomez and Matip who defied quite a few dire predictions. As for Szoboszlai, he's REALLY promising!

Scan for TAA.....usually leads to bad news.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury he sustained during Sunday’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa.

The full-back was forced from the field after 71 minutes at Anfield after picking up a suspected hamstring issue, with Jarell Quansah replacing Liverpool’s captain for the day.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Jürgen Klopp revealed Alexander-Arnold was optimistic the problem wasn’t a serious one, but the No.66 will require further assessment.

The manager said: “I don’t know exactly. I asked him, he said it’s [his] hamstring.

“'Not too serious’ is his opinion, but we obviously have to wait for the scans and then we will know more.
