What a first half that was! Everything you could ask for from us really. I’m not sure we’re learning much from this game as Bournemouth are horrible but it’s about time we had a game like this. More of the same please.

Great half, Diaz electric. Goal was exactly what I want to see from him, a very Mane like goal. Elliot excellent. Trent’s goal right out of the Steven Gerrard repertoire.

 

Only negative is Henry’s not going to put his hand in his pocket now.

Well, that was fun. And exactly what we needed now.

 

Elliott, Diaz and not least Bobby all brilliant. Fabinho back being good. And not least Henderson that isn’t exactly my favourite player has been very good. Leading the press and bringing energy to the team. Trent and Van Dijj also very good.

 

Expect a much more pedestrian and energy saving second half, and a handful of substitutions, which will keep the score down.

I missed the first 2 goals due to struggling to find a working stream. Some really nice goals and general play since. |I'd have been happy with any sort of win today just to get us going but this should be a nice confidence boost for everyone. Maybe a chance to rest a few players in the second half even with the lack of options on the bench.

Newcastle will be a way way tougher test but this at least lifts the mood a bit. I hope we buck the trend and wallop them even more in the second half.
