Nunez scores that chance today and Palace start to shit themselves,the crowd would ha e come to life and it would be  backs to the wall for 30 mins or whatever it was.

Hs hold-up play is as bad as his finishing. And that's a major defensive issue, especially when our team plays so many long balls.

If he sticks the early chance away then the opposition game plan changes. Teams know they’ve got nothing to worry about with these idiots fannying around up front for us.

Fully agree with you, you don't blame individual players for bad losses. However there are elements of truth in what other people are saying. It's not just one game here or there, it's 2 seasons worth of terrible misses. Goals change games and we paid 65-80m for Nunez to change those games in our favour. He's been a massive disappointment and I cannot envisage any new manager banking on him to be his guy in the big moments.

This team is crying out for a lethal number nine. Darwin Nunez isn’t that player. He may have a role to play in the squad but it’s as clear as day we need a clinical finisher. Those that can’t see that are beyond help.

Ultimately he’s meant to have scored more goals. That wins the league.

I know you love him, I like certain parts of his game and he’s improved markedly from what he was but he doesn’t score enough goals. Anyone can see that.

But you’re expecting number 9 goals. Even though it’s the number on his back under Klopp we don’t play with a central focus. He’s scored plenty this season. I’d like more yeah of course but compare his other stuff to other players and there’s a better player. Salah gets games because we know he gets goals. He doesn’t do much for a team unless he’s given the ball to go and shoot.
