Russia v Ukraine

There's little reporting on the actual military matters of the war. Its all narratives and human interest stuff.

Whoever posted that Euromaiden thing - thanks because you actually get some military analysis there.

Its amazing to me that the media haven't figured out Russia's Sea of Azov strategy. The narratives are all about Russian failures and brave Ukrainian resistance and nobody seems to be noticing Russia capturing large swathes of Ukraine's energy infrastructure around the sea of Azov.

Also Russia's main armoured columns are advancing on Kiev. Thats 500 tanks.

I understand the desire by the media to highlight Russian faliure and Ukrainian bravery and there has been plenty of both. The problem is that if people buy into it wholesale they may have a very confused picture of the situation.

I mean that every day there's more and more shit being announced with sanctions. Surely there's enough of them in place now that will have a good enough effect. I'm not saying we should drop them, just try and stop constantly adding new ones.

why?  The sanctions are the only non-violent way of eroding his capability.

Deripaska & Fridman speaking out for 'peace' (e.g. Russian retreat). Deripaska, in particular, is as close to a Putin-oligarch as it gets. The worm will turn this week.

He is terrified of covid. Hence Macron also sitting at the long table. Previously to meet him, guests were required to quarantine in isolation for 2 weeks.
