Other than preparing your argument that he'll ruin our title charge by himself if he starts playing games, I don't know why you would even care anymore. You said it yourself, you don't think he'll play much at all, so it should be irrelevant to you.

That's such a lazy view.  Yes, he does make everything look easy.  What, because of their own petty dislike of the lad, people failed to see was the sheer amount of tackles, blocks and interceptions he made when he was in the team.  He had to, mind, because he was essentially a one man midfield in most games.  You just have to look back at those games where he was fit (obviously, not enough of them), and by and large he won more ball than the rest of the midfielders put together.  And as for another lazy misconception, that he slowed the play down, again a simple look back at the matches proves that this was also complete bullshit.  So I get that people just don't like him, and we've all got our bête noire, but what gets my goat is when people just make shit up.

Can’t see him getting in instead of Macca, so he’s maybe second choice above Endo?

Yes, none of those players were in their prime when we signed them and in the case of Suarez his prime was probably at Barcelona.

Not sure he's fit enough or robust enough to play that anymore.

I can’t see him starting many games even if he gets fully fit.  I envisage his role to be coming off the bench for the last 20 minutes when the pace has been taken  out of games if we need something different to break down the opposition.

Couldn't judge him on that performance. I'm not suggesting he will improve our midfield though. 

 

I think Endo, Macca and Jones together is the way forward. Dom and Trent in for when we play the less capable sides.

Either that or to shut up shop when a game is already won (saving our more important midfielders for whatever the next game is).

Yup, with Endo starting some games to give Mac some rest. All other midfielders should be playing part time to give rest for these 3.
