We had far too much nous and energy for a Burnley team that is the definition of 'workmanlike'. They might also be the definition of 'alehouse' and 'over-physical', and the referee's incompetence meant that Burnley were allowed to get away with quite a bit of rough stuff without getting penalised. On at least two occasions, he gave free kicks against Liverpool players even though they were clearly the ones being fouled. Our lads are made of sterner stuff than in years gone by, so they just focussed on what they had to do and got on with it.

 

Trent's deflected cross found the net for the opener, and the Dubious Goals panel have awarded it to Harry Kane. Sadio placed the second into the far corner after Bobby intercepted Mee's poor pass and played him in. Bobby himself wrapped it up after another quick break. We could have had more but Mo opted not to pass when it was the correct option. Sadio went nuts as he was in the clear, and was not a happy bunny in the dugout as he was subbed straight afterwards! The media will try and shit-stir by claiming that it was frustration at being subbed, but Klopp has already said it was frustration over not being passed to when it was the best option, and that it had all been cleared up in the dressing room. That said, it takes a lot for Sadio to get riled as he's one of the most laid-back players out there.

 

We've set a club record for consecutive league wins, and another record by winning our first 4 league games 2 seasons running. We're top of the league going into the international break, and we just need to keep going as we have been.

This is the best Liverpool team I've ever seen. I probably should of realised this after 97 points and a champions league win but it's the games like this against Burnley we put it to bed and move on. We are like a juggernaut. Klopp is magic, a charismatic football genius. It's a travesty a state run PR exercise denies this team titles.
