I'm honestly amazed we finished this at all.

Wasn't that hard really: all the teams were pretty good. My choices were quite arrogant - I thought that taking the 3 CBs + Alisson would lock down the defensive choices for a few of the other teams, but really there was probably a greater depth of choices available than we all gave credit for.

 

If this draft has taught me one thing, its that Liverpool have had an inordinate amount of players beginning with the letter A!

My chance was gone after round 4 when i panicked into taking my GK when there were still some top quakity midfielders left.

 

Initial plan was to go strong in defence. Unfortunately all my picks disappeared one by one.

I think drafting position was big on this one. Stuck at the very end or beginning and a quick run of players in a position left you fucked. It was either take a lower rated player or take other better players and scrabbling later on for certain positions

Lee I honestly thought you had this one in the bag with your first 2 picks -- highly-rated midfielders were definitely the hardest to come by (more so, I think, because we still probably don't give enough due to the different classes of defenders in the way we would, for example, rank an Alonso so far above an Arteta) and you had arguably 2 of the top 5 or 6 in the contest. Good game - thought at round 5 I was going to be 'individual' with a back 5 given how many 4-2-3-1s we see across these games ... but in the end there's actually a lot of those formations lining up.
