Chelsea Away

Really flat and lethargic performance today.

We've just got to go out and blitz Brighton now.

But, if we don't get top 4, the damage wasn't done today, with a knackered team away to a good side, but rather much earlier in the season with some cheap draws against Watford and Arsenal away and Burnley, West Brom, Chelsea and Spurs at home.

Doesn't matter anyway. The holders qualify automatically for the Champions League now.

Feel really sorry for Solanke.

He was great in pre-season.

Was never given a serious run in the team and his confidence has shattered because of it.

Football isn't all about confidence, ability is important as well. He will probably be a useful championship player for a lucky team next season.

Milner the only positive today. He's a machine. Mane did ok, but the other two at the front were hopeless - Salah didn't see the ball, and Firmino in one of his all too frequent fuckwit games making bad decision after bad decision. Henderson coming on made the heart sink when we needed bravery and commitment going forward.

Good post, but Hendo put in some dangerous balls in at least.

He's had the chances he's deserved. Its harsh but the reality when playing for a big club.

Players need to take the chances they get and make themselves indispensible.

The one silver lining from this is that we'll be treated to some top level fuckwittery tonight as dockers_strike attempts to spin this as a positive.

But we couldn’t buy a better option to rotate the front 3.

Having a natural goal scorer at the club won’t work.

We’ve had fucking idiots tell us.

Fucking hell you shower of gibbering wrecks, weve just had a midweek uropean cup semi in rome then have to play away at stamford bridge.

We lost 1-0 not 4-0 and we have a home game to finish against Brighton, we dont win we don't deserve to be in it next year.

What were you expecting...... we have a threadbare squad due to injuries and a few kids. So we have to rely on the first team players most of which need a rest.

Go and get pissed and enjoy the bank hol weather.....

Never a truer word spoken.

I'm off for some cider.

I don’t know how any person with a brain can watch Alexander Arnold and Clyne and think Clyne isn’t a better player or full back. If we want to give ourselves the best chance of winning the champions league he needs to start. As brutal as that is on Trent it’s the right thing to do.

Huddersfield aren't safe and could do us a favour midweek but looks like we will have to beat Brighton. Chelsea offered little today and we got done by possibly the best striker in the league in the air. Totally out of gas and not the energy to compete in the second half, A week off will help

If I'm honest, we could now use/need the Brighton game to regain some form.

5-0 win and a rousing send off to Kiev from the fans.

Might be just the ticket.

Have floundered quite a bit since going 5-0 up against Roma.

Out of juice, thin squad and all that.

Week's rest, twat Brighton.

Fortnight's rest, beat Real.

Yeah, that'll do nicely.

Could see after 5 minutes where this was going.

We looked jaded as fuck and Chelsea alehoused us and relied on Hazard and a big lump up front.

Solanke and Ings as options off the bench are of no help at all.

Its a good thing we have a week to reset and recharge now. A good job on sunday and its CL football again next season.

I just hope Klopp doesn't go with Ings and Solenke next week he wont want Salah or Bobby picking up a knock before Kiev. If he does it will be a long long game for us.

Nothing like trying to deflect your own cuntery. Love it how you and a couple of others spin stuff to ingratiate yourselves with each other. Plus you only show up when we lose. Strange that.

Agreed. Did people actually think we would get a result at Stamford Bridge after the game on Wednesday? After the Stoke and West Brom fuckups it was always gonna come down to Brighton, which is totally fine.

No chance. Its one day short of two weeks between next sunday and the final. we need to go all out and twat them.

For me Clyne is the better player now when fully fit long term that may change, I think TAA will get better as he gets older / more experienced but if fully fit then clyne should start against Brighton and if he comes through unscathed then he should start in the final as well but like I said TAA will be our right back long term.
