If we are going for someone from that kind of level, I'd prefer Robertson at Hull, he's looked ok in a shit team and still young.

And then I'd take Creswell as a step above both of them, I think he's looked very good.

Just had a look, Cresswell is from Liverpool, is a Red, but we released him when he was 15...

Robertson's contract runs out next summer, although Hull have the option to extend it by 1 year, which I presume they will take. But if he doesn't sign a new contract, then he should still be relatively cheap with only a year left.

The scouts have obviously been reading my posts. Again.

I'm happy to give the lad a chance. Don't get me wrong, it's far from an exciting signing, but he could easily come in and do a solid job.

And, £8m is the new £4m. So, it's hardly a massive outlay if he does bomb. It's just good to have another natural left sided option in that position. It's clear that Klopp simply doesn't rate or trust Moreno. But, we definitely needed a leftie in that position.

Milner did just fine in that position, all things considered. But, it was notable on many ocassions just how often he'd cut inside to cross, or just in normal play and would naturally run into bodies and lose us any width down his side. Also, when he'd get the ball from the holding midfielder or centre backs, his natural inclination is to play a right footed ball around the corner to his winger/wide attacker. The ball would naturally curl from in to out and this would always give the opposition a chance to nip in front of the receiving player and win back possession. Happened loads last season and stifled our attacking play. Don't think we'll suffer that with a left footer there.

People seem to be getting bogged down by the fact he's signing from Hull. In fairly recent times, we've signed very decent full backs from Northampton Town, Ayr United, Crewe and Deportivo La Coruna.

Let's see how he does first before jumping to conclusions largely based on who he signed from.

Has anyone called him a cunt and a wage thief yet?

Has anyone declared that they won't step foot in Anfield until he's out of the club?

Not even a rot in the reserves?

Standards are slipping.
