Welcome to the club, and good luck to him. It will be interesting to see how he does surrounded by better players. Sometimes it makes people shrink back, other times they kick on and really look the part. Hopefully it's the latter.

He at least offers some left footed balance and a back up to Milner. Up to him to show us there's more. Good luck.

The lad has to be given a chance - will be interesting to see how much time he gets on the park.

If he struggles to displace Milner over the course of the season/earn trust to get games when they are coming thick and fast with our additional workload this season then we'll have our answer about what he is all about....be interesting to see how it pans out

Least exciting signing ever. But then he can't really disappoint right? Thats what I'm telling myself anyho.

Some Hull fans said he's kinda like Moreno. The Scottish Moreno like. Decent pace, decent dribbling, but pretty poor at defending, placement, and is known for doing some head shaking decisions, like creating penalties on his own. Sure sounds like Moreno.

He's gonna be great.

Writing a lad off before hes kicked a ball for us is ridiculous and particularly as he is part of the squad fillers we have been saying cost us a tilt at the title. Secondly Klopp's dealings have been very good so far so why the hysteria?

He is utter shit.

The comparison with Hyypia is flawed.

The arguement that we should wait and see with hope in our hearts?

Theres this cow. Its the one i wanted all my life. It left a farm in Glasgow when he was a bull calf because the farmer said that he was too small and a bit deficient, but he went out into the countryside and ate his grass until he tried and tried again. He always failed, but i knew, as soon as he wore my favourite coloured flower, he would do just fine, even though there was absolutely no evidence for it.

HE WILL GET GAMES. That sends a chill down my spine.

You're getting on my tits now with this shit. Every fucking post is how dire he is.

Well, Sami won the finish cup twice then captained willem 2 and was player of the year and qualified for the champions league before moving to us. Robertson hasnt even been man of the match in a premiership game and im not too sure about the championship with Hull.

Though a joke analogy, i stand by it. You could try writting one if you like and ill critique it for you?

I've said my piece about this signing, It doesn't need any analogy with or without cattle.  We need better players at the back and this lad is unlikely to offer that but wish him well and would be delighted to be proved wrong,

We've generally done alright when we've had a Scot in the squad. The last time we won a trophy, we had Charlie Adam in the team! Granted, the set-piece specialist did his utmost to prevent us from winning the League Cup by launching his spot-kick towards Jupiter, but we won it regardless.

I've no idea how good or otherwise Robertson is, but if he can be a steady and consistent type like Finnan or Arbeloa, that would be more helpful to us than a pacy attack-minded full-back who can't defend. Some people seem to be likening his signing to that of Konchesky in its underwhelmingness but there are a couple of significant differences. Firstly, we signed Konchesky when he was almost 30 and there was pretty much no scope for improvement, but plenty of scope the other way. Robertson has just turned 23 so there is plenty of room for improvement before he even reaches his peak years. Secondly, Robertson is going to be coached by Klopp, not the Owl.

Surely the fact he is a Scottish international makes him think he would be first choice. I can't remember ever seeing him play but surely he needs to play regularly to keep his international place.

I don't know how it will pan out but I would imagine he thinks he will gain the starting spot.

I was in the mates car yesterday and he had Talkshite on the radio. After the news the sports bulletin announced that the Robertson deal was all but done and he would be following in the footsteps of previous Liverpool Scottish legends Dalglish, Hansen and Charlie Adam. They leave no stone unturned when it comes to research.......or irony.

As an aside, I wish the lad well and will reserve opinion on him till I've seen him with a run in the team.

Idiots, Dalish and Hansen aren't Liverpool legends.
