I don’t think that’s all that necessary if I’m honest. I mean City walked the league with Delph as their main LB last season... i’d rather we spend our resources elsewhere as both Milner and Gomez are superior makeshift left backs compared to Delph.

That’s the risk you take with trusting a young player, no? Hoping he will keep improving. In the event that we need to play Gomez at RB, do not forget that we have a more than capable CB replacement in Lovren who played a significant role in keeping Ronaldo, Messi and Kane goalless in the last 13 months... 2 GOATs and arguably the best no 9 in the world ATM.
