It's made, he is cheaper than expected but that doesn't mean it's a great signing.

If he was on the open market we would never have been in for him. It's a good buy for the squad but if he is going to be anything near our main man we are going to have another shit season imo

So we have a lower half championship level keeper as our back up to Mig who is leaving...so what shall we do, sign another one of course!....

No idea if this lad is any good, don't really remember him against us. I can't help but think we wouldn't be in for him, ings or Milner if they weren't out of contract.

There must be one of those 35-40 year olds about that are still pretty good but happy to be a number two and maybe get the cup games. What is the point in signing a 27 year old keeper unless he's going to be first choice?

Thomas Sorensen is available on a free. I'd prefer we aimed to sign someone who could put real pressure on Mignolet but if we're brining in someone as backup then an experienced professional would be better.

Edit: Scratch that, he's actually retired now

Apparently Harper, Tremmel, Boruc, and the Icelandic Tramp are out of contract. Any of them still half decent?

Should be several further afield as well, obviously. Always a couple of decent older keepers in Spain.

Boruc signed for Bournemouth. Rob Green would do. Push the boat out and get that Navas from Madrid. Dave Beasant is probably still going. I'd take a 45 year old Brad Friedel.

Adam Bogdan isn't going to put pressure on Mignolet, isn't he behind Gulasci in the Hungary pecking order?

They would want more than 10-15k a week.
