Gerrard was brilliant in the DM role last season

No he wasn't.

He was good at springing a quick counter attack but as a defensive midfielder he was a crap as he has been this year. Far too often teams ran through the midfield. He is crap at picking up runners and allowing his man to run off him too. He was worthy of his place but shite in his defensive duties

I'd forgotten about this fella, worth a punt ?..

Mohamed Salah to leave Chelsea in January with Besiktas & Inter circling http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/transfers/mohamed-salah-to-leave-chelsea-in-january-with-besiktas-inter-circling-gazzetta-independent/

This was so predictable the minute he signed for them.

Going to Chelsea isn't all that bad a deal really for the likes of Salah. Get a massive signing on fee and a truck load of cash for never playing then get a big signing on fee and your loyalty bonus when they move you on. One or two easy years get yourself set for life, then still get paid handsomely elsewhere for the rest of your career.

It's like winning the lottery, apart from having to spend some time in the same room as John Terry of course.

There's a lad at Barca, meant to be talented but only has one league goal despite playing up front for them all the way through Christmas.  Think he should be our top priority, myself.

Doesn't fit the profile. We need another attacking midfielder.
