21 year old centre-back from Feyenoord. Their captain as well. Recently made his debut for the national side.

Depends what you class as 'big'. I think we need to spend in the region of 20m with more investment in the summer to have a chance of pushing on for fourth next season. If we're talking 3.5 mil for this guy and Darren Bent on loan then, frankly, fsg would be totally fucking mental.

I don't know what kind of shite Coates must produce in training, but it's quite clear that Rodgers doesn't trust him anywhere near the pitch. Which is odd as he's been good most of the time he's actually managed to get on.

One of the more worrying things about our manager. He obviously prefers Carra to Coates and we only need one one on the bench.But to keep selecting Cole and Downing leaves me

confused. He has given some youngsters a go but not others. I would love to see Seb given a run of games and spend the money on goalscorers.

I find it daft that Carra started ahead of him in the Young Boys game as Coates needs the games more but Kenny who signed certainly would'nt have used him in the aforementioned games, infact Kenny played Carra when we had nothing to play for when he was in awful form which would've been the perfect time to bed Coates in, if Skrtel and Agger wern't so good I think Coates would've played more

I think it's more of a case that one of our reserve CB is on the verge of retirement, than a case of replacing Coates.

What's the issue with Coates? I don't get it. On the whole, he's been good this season when he's played, He's still a bit inconsistent but that's probably exacerbated by him not playing games in a row. We're ballsing up with Coates' development and it's silly.
