Daft twat from Essex on the tv then "bring back Boris" interviewer "why? .. Daft twat from Essex.. "er he's good for business"

Recap. The last time Johmson gave a speech to the CBI he looked like he'd just turned up from an all nighter, couldn't co-ordinate his papers, lost track of his speech then filled in by rambling on and on about Peppa Pig World.

Actually sensible. Imagine arguing against that. ‘No, we want PMs who have disgraced the office by breaking the law to be able to come back for another crack’.

For sure. Labour, The SNP and the Greens should follow suit.

Although you could understand why Labour might not want to....

He's going to get the support of the ERG and the Red wall MP's. I genuinely think he wins it now!

Of course he’s going to win. Anyone who thinks otherwise has really not been paying attention for the last 20 years.

The worst possible outcome will always happen.

That stoke MP I posted about earlier resigned from his government but is now backing him!

A man of principle obviously.

I can't see him uniting the party, not after the damage he did last time.

What worries me is the support he will get around the country.

As I posted in the cunt thread (which feels weird to say considering I'm in the Boris Johnson thread now), Ben Wallace is backing him. They'll rip themselves apart over this. Brilliant.

They were ripping themselves apart over Brexit under May and the end result of that was Boris Johnson winning a massive majority.

The only way I can't see it happening now is if a large number of Tory MPs come out publicly and say they'll resign if he takes over.

I can't see how people like sunak and javid who so publicly walked away previously can do anything other than resign. And then when one or two big hitters go, the house of cards will come down. There'll be a GE if they go this way, but I don't think they will, because it'll clearly be a disaster.
