Gerrard Injury

I believe he has been carrying this injury since last year. When was a last time we saw a Gerrard cannonball? All his goals and attempts on goals is him trying to pass the ball into the net.

I think you're right personally. Sounds to me like there is now a fundamental weakness in his groin which is causing what seems like repeated re-injury.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is poised to make his return at West Ham on Sunday but £35million striker Andy Carroll is being held back for a possible debut against Manchester United next weekend.

Gerrard has missed the last three games with a groin injury and manager Kenny Dalglish must decide whether to let him start or ease him back into action from the bench.

Carroll is recovering well from the thigh injury he had when he signed from Newcastle but has been left on Merseyside to continue his recuperation.

The striker could still play some part in next Sunday's important home game against arch-rivals United.
