Boghossian llega con fama de goleador al Espanyol

 

El espanyol ficha al delantero uruguayo de Newell's Old Boys hasta final de temporada.

 

Antonio Joaquín Boghossian, 'Bogho', delantero uruguayo de 22 años, 1'97 cms. de altura y 85 kilos de peso, es el nuevo delantero de Pochettino. El Espanyol ha conseguido cerrar la cesión del atacante hasta final de temporada.

 

La dirección deportiva quería cerrar un fichaje rápido y ya lo tiene. Boghossian responde al perfil de delantero que buscaba el conjunto blanquiazul, es un hombre de área, goleador (tercer máximo goleador en el último torneo de apertura en Argentina marcando 11 goles, siete con el pie y cuatro de cabeza), el referente ofensivo que busca un equipo. Su altura le permite bajar los balones que le cuelgan sus compañeros para buscar la segunda jugada, pero a la vez se muestra muy rápido dentro del área, a pesar de su altura.

 

Pochettino ha recibido informes muy favorables de los técnicos de su ex club, Newell's Old Boys. Las buenas referencias que ha facilitado Iván Alonso de su paisano también han sido fundamentales a la hora de contratar al uruguayo.

 

El Espanyol deberá pagar 400.000 euros al conjunto argentino por la cesión del delantero, aunque ésta podría abaratarse si, finalmente, Pillud entra en la operación. Todo depende del equipo propietario de los derechos del lateral, Tiro Federal. Si éste club se pone de acuerdo con Newell's, la entidad perica sólo tendría que pagar 250.000 euros por tener a Boghossian en sus filas hasta final de temporada.

 

El club catalán no ha podido hacerse con una opción de compra sobre el delantero ya que el jugador pasará a jugar en el Liverpool la próxima temporada. Rafa Benítez ha dado su visto bueno a la operación para que el jugador se vaya adaptando al fútbol europeo. A cambio, el Espanyol ha alcanzado un acuerdo con los 'reds' para que la próxima temporada juegue en Cornellá-El Prat, en calidad de cedido, su joven centrocampista defensivo, internacional con Camerún, Has Kaidho.

 

Boghossian aterrizará la mañana del martes en Barcelona y el miércoles será presentado tras el primer entrenamiento con sus nuevos compañeros. A lo largo del lunes, cuando estén firmados todos los documentos, el Espanyol hará oficial el fichaje del delantero.

Apparently it says we've signed Boghossian, a Uruguayan striker but are letting hom go on loan for all of next season to Espanyol.

 

Probably bullshit cos Newell's, his current club are letting him join Espanyol on loan for the rest of this season too according to that article.

We're probably paying nothing for him until we get a work permit etc so no loss to us.

 

Being skint this is the sort of thing we're gonna probably have to do more. Get players before they have proven they can hack it.

Liverpool have reportedly signed Uruguayan striker Joaquin Boghossian.

 

The 22-year-old, who scored 11 goals in 18 games to help Newells Old Boys to second place in the Argentinian league, will apparently play for Espanyol next season giving him time to adapt to European football while Liverpool secure his work permit. He will then join Liverpool in 2010/11.
