  1. Seen as he's playing for a move, let's not forget none of the big European clubs came in for him, I really don't think he'll lack motivation
  2. Douglas Costa from Shaktar I'm guessing, never seen him play if he is the guy
  3. I remember those Falcao rumours, I also remember at the time thinking he had a slighly better than a 1 in 3 goal scoring record in what everyone says is a poor Argentinian league and that he would be just mediocre dross.
  4. If anyone could PM me a stream, I'd appreciate it, ta
  5. If we could get him for a decent price, I think he'd be a great signing. It's not that he's a brillant player but he'll give us much needed pace. When Lennon got injured for Spurs last year, they didn't look half as potent. Walcott although limited is twice the footballer Lennon is. Our counter attacking play is too slow and the signing of Walcott would go a long way to solving that problem.
  6. Michael Laudrup was appointed last week mate so I can't see that being the hold up.
  7. It's more Neil Jones from the echo I'd be worried about, but in hindsight the delay just doesn't add up.
  8. What I read from that is that they're not going to do either. While I accept that if H&G were still in charge things would be substantially worse, it looks like this crowd are happy to just thread water.
  9. I'm sure he feels he's not experienced enough to take it on. He more or less said the same when he was asked about the Chelsea job a couple of months back. Also I'd imagine he probably feels he might be interviewed but that he has no realistic chance of getting the job.
  10. If Newcastle does get 4th spot and Chelsea don't win, Ashley is not going to spend money, he'll be happy to take the extra cash rather than invest in the team, they'd be a lot easier to dislodge than Chelsea or Spurs and besides I love the way "You've got no history" gets under the skin of chelsea fans
  11. Is Marwood not the city DoF but they just gave him a different title? Why is he particularly highly rated?
  12. I can't believe you actually negged me for that, whenever I figure out how to neg someone you're first on the list!!!!
  13. Klopp is the stand out candidate although I'd imagine when he does leave Dortmund he'll have the pick of European clubs. Whoever we get it'll be a huge gamble as we look in a bit of a mess and I can't see them being handed a lot of money. How's Babbel doing at Hofenheim, barring his last few months at Stuttgart he has done well in his first year at Stuttgart and Hertha. I actually think Rafa is the man for the job but unfortunately he'd be hugely divisive which would put him on the back foot from the start.
  14. I'd go along with Diame, he's on a bosman and would bring a bit of physicality to our team which we are lacking. My problem with Sinclair and Defoe is you'll overpay for what they are as demonstrated by Carroll and Downing. I'd much prefer to go for someone like Luuk De Jong/Huntelaar and a bit of pace on the wing, someone like Patrick Herrmann from Borussia Moenchangladbach. I really think we should look at the Bundesliga more often as it's pretty similar to the PL and seems to be much better value to be had.
  15. Lodiero is a really good player for Ajax and Uruguay but unfortunately he has a terrible injury record. He plays on the wing or behind a main striker. I think he could of missed the most of the last two seasons. He's quite a clever technical player on the wing rather than relying on pace. I can't see us going for someone with his injury record.
  16. The first priority should be to integrate into the side for next year, Sterling Coates Robinson Shelvey I'd love to see us get rid of Downing, Carroll and Henderson if we can get most of our money back for them, then concentrate on finding players that can do the job Downing and Carroll were brought in to do, pace and goals/assists from the wing and someone to provide a consistent goal threat apart from Suarez. Given we won't be shopping for established players in the big leagues this summer I'd go for the likes of Dries Martens and Luuk De Jong.
  17. Anyone with a stream could they PM to me please?
  18. Did anyone see the tweet from Babel: "I see it already happen Xavi laughing in his mind standing infront of Parker before the game with the refs thinking " Who's he ? " Lol" Strangely I seem to like Babel so much more since he's stopped playing for us, he is one of the funniest guys on twitter
  19. I can't see us overturning the ban or gettin it reduced given the tone of the statement, what sticks out for me is how they are saying evras evidence tallies with the video evidence but he gave his version of events to the panel having access to the footage so of course it'll tally.
  20. Of course buying Bent is a better option than sticking with what we have. The thing is though if we do have £20m to spend I'm sure we can get better valuer than Bent. Adding any international player is going to improve the squad, Bent would improve every squad in the premiership as he's be brilliant to play in certain matches. I just don't believe we wouldn't get better value looking elsewhere.
  21. I think he should just having a roll of all these incidents rolling on the screen while the normal press conference is going on. Just to highlight to hypocrisy of the FA. Siege mentality here we come
  22. Completely agree about Gerrard, he done the job against united last year at Anfield although he was carrying an injury. I see it as the role Stevie will end up playing anyway as his style of play will have to change as he gets older.
  23. How about 3 subs and four under 21/23, that way young players path to the first team isn't being blocked by older players picking up a fat check.
