Went to a pub earlier tonight and had steak & ale pie with homemade chips and veg.

 

One of the best eat out meals I've had in ages and quite reasonably priced too.

Theres loads of great pubs there I Like The Ship the Tyne Bar, Freetrade and the Cumberland Arms, The Tanners also in Jesmond is the Punch Bowl does great food.

I really like Wylam good pubs great cricket pitch played loads there.

My mates local is the Cumberland, great pub.

 

The locals just break out in to song randomly.

 

Highlight of my annual jaunt up those parts.

Bob's fry up has mushrooms on it so needs lashing in the bin, along with those original lyrics.

The George at Chollerford is ok again by a great cricket pitch but head up the road to Humshaugh nice pub called the Crown.

What is this defence of toast cut into rectangles? Is it a ‘I’m more working class than you’ thing, or am I missing something? The triangles fit into your mouth better.

I think it depends if you want to use the toast as a sandwich for your breakfast items. Triangles don't work for that really but is fine for dipping and mopping.

Much better to stick stuff on, fold it in half, then eat. Triangles are pretentious and impractical.
