If you’re in that part of the world head to The Cluny for a pint or seven.

Top of my head the Alchemist/apothecary is great as well.

I fucking love Newcastle, though I remember less every time I go.

I've left Newcastle in my wake. I'm spending the night in a tiny place called Wylam.

Went to a pub earlier tonight and had steak & ale pie with homemade chips and veg.

One of the best eat out meals I've had in ages and quite reasonably priced too.

My mates local is the Cumberland, great pub.

The locals just break out in to song randomly.

Highlight of my annual jaunt up those parts.

Why would you ruin a perfectly gorgeous rustic breakfast by adding beans and triangular toast? It’s like wiping your arse on the original lyrics to imagine.

The lyrics to Imagine are fairly piss poor.

Bob's fry up has mushrooms on it so needs lashing in the bin, along with those original lyrics.

Chollerford.

Anyway, this was today's offering. Usuall I'd like another egg and sausage but I'm not going to let that spoil what was otherwise a good breakfast.

Nice thick bacon and everything cooked to perfection.

The George at Chollerford is ok again by a great cricket pitch but head up the road to Humshaugh nice pub called the Crown.

What is this defence of toast cut into rectangles? Is it a ‘I’m more working class than you’ thing, or am I missing something? The triangles fit into your mouth better.

Much better to stick stuff on, fold it in half, then eat. Triangles are pretentious and impractical.
