Couple of good Italian restaurants in Corbridge. Don’t really drink on Corbridge.. But The Angel is a nice pub. Quite expensive though for round here.

I'm staying the night in the Angel.  Don't think I'll be going anywhere else for a pint reg6of the price.

Is that the same place as yesterday Mick?

No mate. Yesterday's was hotel Indigo in Newcastle.  This mornings was the B&B I stayed last night.

As nice as this place is, I've got a feeling breakfast is going to be a let down.

Are those hotdog sausages?

Fuck me.

No, they were pork sausages. They were pretty nice. It was all nicer than it looked, which to be fair probably wouldn't be tough.

Fucks sake mate. I'll come back bigger than I went at this rate.

I've just had the fish & chips at the place I'm staying. The was a note in brackets next to it on the menu saying  (if you dare)

Well I've just polished it off no problem so I can only assume the chef is a big girls blouse.

It wasn't Pollock it was Bollock. Must be the same owners as Bazzas place earlier.

Another vote for good quality dark chocolate or cocoa in a chilli or mole sauce.

A mixed bag if breakfasts on the last couple of pages. We picked sarnies up from the local cafe on our way home from walking the dog; I had an XL bacon and sausage, a consistently good 8/10.

Simply the best cafe on moss lane in orrell park. Looks a whole lot worse than it tasted. It's what they call their all day breakfast. There's a choice of hash brown of fungus, which was an easy one for me. I'd sooner not have the tomatoes as a rule (and I think it should be beams or tomatoes not both), but I actually quite enjoyed them. I'd prefer the bacon more cooked, the sausages were really tasty, the egg was goid and the ulster fry cooked perfectly.  7/10

Tea

2 toast

Egg,

Hash brown

2 bacon

2 sausage

Beans

Tomatoes

£5

+ 2 slices of Ulster Fry @ £1.20

£6.20 all in. Cracking value.

Even the toast is trying to get away from that.

Yes. Best mushy peas I've ever had. Think they had mint in them.

My wife and I spent most of the summer of 2014 in Hythe, Kent. There was a boss fish and chip restaurant that did great food, including lovely minted mushy peas. Was a boss summer, that. Fresh seafood, farmers’ markets and late night walks along the pebble beach.

There's no way the black pudding was homemade.

All in though not bad. Not great,  but not bad.

Looks good apart from the chips and brown toast. How was the fried bread?

I was going to have a bacon butty this morning, but I think you might have tempted me into another breakfast!
