Mascherano Italy bound?

We need to keep him, he has easily been our player of the season so far, even though Torres have been grabbing the headlines...... mascherano has been top notch on a regular basis, he does not have bad games, and he has been playing his heart out.....

Actually the results seem to matter more to him than any of our current permanent players........

He would make a great Captain, leads by example and never goes hiding.....

Agents tend to say things like this. In Mascherano's case I don't think it will help though. He's on sale for £17m, and if we want him then he's ours. If we don't want him then every major club in Europe knows the score. Save the touting for another player, Mr Tamer.

He's stated so many times how much he loves being at Liverpool and wants to stay here. Add the fact that he's fucking brilliant and it knocks you sick at the thought of him going.

He's already said he wouldn't play for another Premiership club due to his affections for Liverpool.

I saw the rumour on bbc's gossip column and then saw where it came from

However I can't blame the agent saying anything if he has given the club are arsing about over it. Ultimately if we make the move then he's ours because of the deal that is set up when he first arrived

It's going to be the summer before it's sorted out mainly because these idiots in charge keep dilly dallying over the buying etc;

Normally i think the player should always want to play for the club regardless of who the manager is. However in these circumstances you have to have sympathy with masch lets not forget his nightmare at WestHam and if the owners can treat the manager with such contempt would you want to work for hillbillies like that, also what message is that sending to the footballing world about attracting other top players to us.
