Marone, I am correcting the line about thinly slicing Garlic, not onions and them liquifying, not caramelising. Nobody mentions how the Onions are sliced. Yes it's part of the same scene, your quote comes just after the garlic slicing.

Dinner was always a big thing. We had a pasta course and then meat or fish. Paulie did the prep work. He was doing a year for contempt and he had a system for doing garlic. He used a razor and he sliced it so thin it used to liquify in the pan with a little oil.

It's a boss film - and a great line - but I reckon that's bollocks about liquifying the garlic. I don't care how thin you slice it, it'll always crisp up in oil.

Yeah i enjoyed it. Looking for something to watch at work. Just watched one on Full zmetal Jacket too. That was excellent so started FMJ now.

Gomorrah is quality but don't expect the same romantic view of being a gangster portrayed in Goodfellas.

Yeah i saw a documentary with the author and it covered some of the film that was made. Excellent documentary but very disturbing.

 

 

I find organised crime fascinating but im under no illusions of what it is.
