Underrated Albums

Yeah it is though I just kind of consider it a Lemonheads album. Or consider Lemonheads albums Dando albums. Hasn't been a new release for years. There was Varshons but it doesn't really count

He played Amsterdam a couple of months ago so he might have something new soon. I had free tickets but forgot about it which was a bit daft.

Be Here Now has sold about 8 million copies, is not that good and has no place in this thread.

It sold loads yes but it got panned purely for the fact is wasn't as good as what's the story, so in that sense it was underrated because it's still boss.

Edgar Jones has released a fair few great albums as The Stairs and solo as Edgar "Jones" Jones & The Joneses or Edgar Summertyme. Another fantastic Liverpool talent who the world seems to have missed. He is also the spit of Mook.

H ha, he's certainly underrated in the looks department.

I'll need to check out his stuff.

Anybody that likes 90's britpop will buzz off Mexican RnB, fantastic album.

Nah, it got panned because it was full of over-indulgant coke-fuelled shite (as Noel now accepts).

Only justification for being on this thread us if you want to mount a case that it was a 2/10 album as opposed to a 1/10 album.

Well in fairness to Stig it was a straight choice between the seven albums he owns, Definitely Maybe, Whats the story, Be Here now, Standing on the shoulder of giants, Heathen Chemisry, Don't believe the truth and Dig out your soul. So in that sense Be here now is actually very underrated.

Boo Radleys - Giant Steps. What they did before "Wake Up" propelled them to brief unexpected Britpop stardom.

Echobelly - On. These should have been much bigger. And Sonya Madan was fucking boss. She's still not bad, actually.

Gary Jules - Trading Snakeoil for Wolftickets. So much more to offer than a cover of Mad World.
