I knew that happened before I watched the wire. I was watching YouTube and a clip said "omar calls out Marlo" I decided to watch and it showed  that.

 

I hated that kid as well. He's also the kid saying "I'll be omar " after the shootout with omar in series 3

I thought the much maligned series 5 was brilliant.  4 was a masterpiece but 1 just shaded it.

 

Felt 2 & 3 had a lot of wasted episodes that could have easily been cut but the final 3 episodes of each series more than made up for it.
