There's a touch of the republican party criticising Biden for the number of boarder arrests as 'proof' that the situation is getting worse rather than better in Arsenal's PGMOL complaint.

That fact he's third on the list of fouls won suggests he's getting plenty of protection and its telling that Salah isn't on that list at all.

I keep watching this for the bit he shouts after 'Bobby Firmino...' in the song. Sounds like something from Team America.

Very funny although not very cool, boy sounds like he's from Yorkshire to me.

Arsenal fans were okay back in the late 70s and 80s when I lived in London. Possibly the soundest just ahead of Spurs.

Back then, they had a proper working class support from North London. A lot of them were of Irish descent and you saw a lot more Black faces on the North Bank than other London grounds. Chelsea were always horrible and West Ham weren't that much better. Spurs fans weren't too bad in fairness and they had players I always liked watching. The times I couldn't make it back to see us, it was great watching players like Brady and Hoddle.

It was a different era, so Jimmy from a council flat has been replaced by Joshua from the Home Counties. To be fair, I've had a good natter with Mancs of my age and I can relate to them about the football. I reckon it would generally be the same with most fan bases. I think social media has done more damage to fan relations than hooliganism. I go into a pub full of Arsenal fans and chances are most will be okay and a lot sound. I go on one of their forums and it's scousers this scousers that bla bla bla

That really was cringeworthy. Especially for us oldies that had the extremely boring, percentage football of their George Graham team fresh in memory it really was a bizarre thing.

The “Boring, boring Arsenal” chant got to them I think. I thought that was obvious when they started chanting “Boring, boring Scousers” at us, under Wenger.

I think social media/online always shows the worst side of fanbases - too many keyboard warriors and trolls and flat out cunts on there and they have the loudest voices sadly and the monkey see, monkey do mentality is rampant.

I agree with most of that up till the end. I think so many now buy into the social media narrative, in fact in arsenals case only started going the game in the social media period, that a pub full of arsenal fans is generally a pub full of dickheads. I agree that wasn't the case years ago. For me they started to change when they went to the Emirates. An extra 20k over night at ticket prices the locals can't afford. Most of them are there for their one upmanship with others.

If you read most forums, bar this one, you would think 95 percent of football fans are knobheads.

Maybe, it's people feel empowered behind a computer to say things they wouldn't normally or the shit "banter" culture is taking over more and more.

Think the one upmanship shit is a disease across the board but Arsenal fans are among the worst from what I can see. There was a mutual big club respect with them in the past, but especially in that period when we are chasing a title after say 20 plus years, they seemed to take a sociopathic delight in us falling short.

I've never respected Arsenal  I just thought that with their various players and managers they were twats, Wenger saying in 2005 that there was a problem because Arse and Real Madrid hadn't made it to a particular point on the CL so that meant there was a problem with the tournament. No you were both shit.

Used to go in there about 10 years ago.  It was decent then; looks shite now.  Different crowd, I suppose.

When I used to go away a lot, arsenal was my favourite London away, maybe my favourite of all aways. Their fans were like how you described in the previous post, I liked the old ground, the pubs around the ground were sound - and there were plenty that were supposed to be home fans only, but we were always let in and as long as we weren't bellends, it was no issue till every year they were at the Emirates, it got worse and worse. We used to get on with them well, then inside a few years at the Emirates, we'd end up just drinking tinnies in the street - or drinking away right up in the other side of Finsbury park away from the masses.

I read something about Odegaard saying clubs play deeper against them now and analyse them more and they are about to take the shackles off. This season I dont think I've ever heard a more arrogant club and fanbase based upon not actually achieving much other than runners up. You'd think they were prime Barcelona. I've no issue with Arsenal generally they don't evoke emotion they are very much a roller coaster with a 3 star fear rating, decent enough highs average drops and no loop the loops.

Astrid Wett started this with Chelsea. Basically OnlyFans porn weebles trying to drive football traffic to their sites. There’s one for virtually every club.

Yesterday was like playing footy with your kids. You let them think they are giving you a run for your money then as soon as you need a drink or a piss, bang, bang game over.

Copyright Captain Turdseye.

You missed most of the first half, didn't you?

They were all over us. We maybe planned to sit back & let them wear themselves out but some of that shit (like being completely unable to hold on to the ball for more than 10 seconds) was definitely not part of the plan.

I mean, it all worked out perfectly in the end but that first 45 minutes was not an easy watch. I'm not complaining as they are a good side and were at home so to be under pressure was expected but let's not be silly.
