I'll admit, I gave a little air punch seeing that Leverkusen equalised late.

It would've been a shame if their incredible unbeaten season came to an end at the hands of Qanon's ballbag.

Come on Freiburg, finish the job in London.

Be great to see all the other English clubs out at this stage. Nothing worse than an all-English tie in a European competition.

It is when we’re playing in them.

Hopefully Arsenal get City in the CL.

I assume the draw for the Quarters and Semi’s are done next Friday?

A side of a draw with us, Frieberg, Marseille,  Rangers / Benfica and then Leverkusen, Milan, Roma, Sporting / Atalanta would be tremendous.

The only negative is that Germany and Italy have sneaked past England for the 5th CL spot implemented next season. No issue this year, but might be a subsequent problem.

My antipathy is drawn from West Ham fans entering the small club fray with Hillsborough slurs on social media this week.

It's still very likely that England will get it. Personally I hope they don't but it's essentially a three way fight between Italy, England and Germany.

It won't be a subsequent problem either as every year starts afresh and its based on the best two performing nations that season.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder will meet with owner Prince Abdullah next week to discuss the club's future.

The Blades are bottom of the Premier League, 11 points from safety with 11 games of the season remaining.

Despite finding themselves in a relegation battle, Wilder says "good things" are happening off the pitch as they look beyond the end of the season.

"I'm going out to Riyadh next week for meetings with the owners, for four or five days," Wilder, 56, said.

"They understand the situation that we're in. They're not liking the situation and I didn't expect them to."

Sheffield United have won just three games so far this season and have a goal difference of -50.

Wilder added: "We all take that responsibility and we're all hurting, regardless of whether the owner is at every game. He watches diligently and we speak frequently. So he's keen to get stuff moving and planning."

On Thursday, Sheffield United said head of recruitment Paul Mitchell had left the club by mutual consent and that the club had "begun the process to reshape the recruitment department".

The club also announced it had agreed a deal to buy land in Dore to build a new first-team training centre.

"I am a medium to longer-term planner, because that has to happen at a football club," said Wilder.

"I keep saying, we've got good things happening and I'm sure more things will come out in the next two or three weeks."

Sheffield United travel to Bournemouth on Saturday with the hope of bouncing back from a 6-0 defeat by Arsenal at Bramall Lane on Monday.

"There's still some life in us. I've not been told we're relegated yet," Wilder said.

"We will be if we continue to play like we did for half an hour or 40 minutes like we did against Arsenal.

"That will happen pretty quickly. So that's got to be our challenge - for that not to happen."

They keep popping up on my 'for you' sticking their beaks into discussions that have fuck all to do with them. Very weird. I saw one commenting on last night's VAR disallowed Mo goal by posting a screengrab of the offside goal we scored against them about 5 years ago before VAR was even a thing. Busy bastards.

Can't bring myself to watch any other premiership teams to be honest. I'll watch match of the day, but can't watch a full l game anymore that doesn't involve us.

I'll watch a serie A game most weekends though.

Know what you mean. I'll have it on the telly but mainly for background while I'm doing something else.

I’ve given up on MotD, I watch the YouTube goal highlights. I see the goals and the punditry insight is far better.

I watch our games but I avoid watching MoTD during our game so that I don't listen to the bellends in there.

I record MotD, but often don’t get round to watching it until after I’ve read Dave’s roundup and find out about the interesting bits. Even then I fast forward through the ‘punditry’.
