is a contributing factor.  I just find it odd that it took decades to beat the record scored by Charlton and since Lineker did it, there's been Rooney & now Kane who have got to 50 goals scored.  Must be some really shit teams out there these days.

Lineker didn’t do it, mate. He was a goal shy of equalling Bobby Charlton’s record. He missed that penalty against Brazil, his final appearance for England.

Thiago was mostly very good when he played but don’t think he played enough games to warrant his inclusion, Rodri probably deserves it more.

I'd probably put Fab in place of Thiago, and there's no way Ronaldo should be in that team ahead of the likes of Son, but otherwise it's about right.

I think It’s likely that Thiago had a really good second half to the season and that was in the voters minds more.
