Klopp interview / press conference thread

Great honesty again.

He'd have just cause to at least whine a little about injuries and the frequency of games. He doesn't look for excuses though. Even the crowd leaving early situation was very well explained.

But you know the newspaper headlines will be 'Klopp walks alone' in the morning shitrags.

He's spot on about the early leavers there, but it's a two way thing like he says. It's up to the team to make sure no one wants to leave early.

Personally I think they're still cunts for bailing.

I never understand people leaving early - it costs a lot to watch football - stay for the whole match!!

As he said, this could be a very important loss. Behind that cool as fuck exterior I reckon he can be mean fucker, the players WILL learn from this & if they don't, I wouldn't want to be them. Brendan would have just come out & said the usual bullshit, proud of the group, they were a wee bit tired after midweek, proud of the effort/character etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. Jurgen will stand for no shit, lack of effort, tiredness, call it what you will, he won't have it. We're lucky to have him.

The tiredness argument doesn't wash with me I have to say. It never seems to effect bayern Munich, Barcelona or real Madrid.

All of who have winter breaks. only La liga clubs play a similar number of League games to the PL and the quality of some of the oppos is questionable.

To be fair to the players, it takes time to adjust to Klopp's physical intensity. I dont think they players were tired, we're creating little, depending on coutinho to deliver time and time again in games and dont have a fit prolific striker.

Another thing that's overlooked are the distances travelled and the end destinations.

It's fine fine the majority of the time for CL clubs. They have 2/3 hour flights to major capitals or large developed cities.

In the Europa there can be games like Rubin Kazan that are 6/7 hour flights to well...Kazan!

And it's nearly always those away games that you'll find teams struggle during their next weekend game.

Is there any way to see gifs of today's back pages? I wanna see what has been made of this in the press. Obviously I am not gonna buy any tabloids as I am clevererer than that.

I wonder whether he will take the press to task if they (and they will) go overboard,
