We need to get some consistency, we're playing like strangers right now, so play the same team that will play the blushite and let them get a good performance under their belt. It would be great if Anfield was rocking in a fuck-it type of way but I think it will be like a graveyard and that will transmit itself to the players who in turn will give the crowd little to cheer about. Anyway, let's hope not and instead we get to see a good confidence building 4-0 victory with a buzzing crowd, who show BR and the team we're all still in it to win it with full belief of what can be achieved this season.

I doubt Manquillo will be fit with him being subbed against West Ham

Is Mclauglin available? Wouldn't mind seeing him have a run out at Rb

I can see Hendo starting so he can have his debut as captain, but I would rather rest him.

Don't think Manquillo went off due to injury, it was just purely a tactical switch.

Just checked McLaughlin's Twitter feed, and it would appear that he's not fit to play at the moment.

I remember seeing quotes from Brendan in the media saying that Lambert would start against Middlesbrough.

Here

Rodgers praises Lambert's 'supporting role'

Brendan Rodgers has hailed the impact made by Rickie Lambert at Liverpool despite having yet to hand him a start.

Lambert joined the club in a £4 million deal from Southampton in the summer but has been restricted to two substitute appearances this season.

"Rickie has been very good since he came in," Rodgers said.

"He has mostly had an impact from the bench and you see even with England the other night when he came on he showed good ability to play a great weighted pass for Danny Welbeck to score.

"He is working very well and if he doesn't get a start he will certainly start against Middlesbrough in the [League] Cup so his game time will come - but at the moment he is playing a great supporting role from the bench."

Brendan has confirmed that Lambert will start. Allen, Can, Johnson & Sturridge still out, and Flanno has had his operation.

Also mentioned that Hendo picked up a knock at West Ham, and that Coutinho is highly unlikely to be fit to play tomorrow. Confirmed that Manquillo was taken off purely for tactical reasons.

He went on to say that players from the Academy will be involved in the squad tomorrow.
