Kolo Toure.

It's pretty obvious Kolo wasn't brought in to play every week, and his performance levels were much higher at the start of the season when he was fresher.  Dragging that ass around with him is like a Mini pulling a caravan, it's going to labour some when you take it up a hill.

Should we have better luck with Sakho's availability - Agger's is a lost cause, for me - then I'm sure when he is asked to step in at the periodic rate hoped when he was signed, he will provide more than able cover.

Not only that, but over the final stretch, he'll have plenty to offer a relatively young and relatively untested dressing room, given he's won the title twice with different clubs and has a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to impart.

On his game, he's still better than Agger or Skrtel imo.  And he's a winner.  He knows what is required to win.  Get him on the slimfasts and get him ready to play.

I do recognise he's had a mare lately.

Shame he last was on his game 4 years ago then.

Toure used to be a great player because he had great pace to recover from mistakes and being out of position, now the pace is sadly gone because he has become old and fat.

He was a stop gap signing, but why waste money on him and keep loaning out other probably better and younger players?

I hope its a 1 year contract and ti should end there.

Hopefully he can finish of his Liverpool career by becoming the first player to win the PL with 3 different clubs.

If we had been lucky with injuries he'd barely of kicked a ball this season for us, he's as good as a 4th choice centre half needs to be.  Were you saying this when he started the season superbly?

Having a 4th choice centre half who cost us fuck all for another year shouldn't be something your concerning yourself with considering that our second choice left back is useless (and on loan), we have 1 out and out winger (who's good), a crocked defensive midfield player (who arguably isn't the player he was), an aging captain who was once the life and soul of our team, a keeper who hasn't really improved since we signed him, Ian Ayre in charge of transfer negotiations and shit 3rd kit for 2 seasons in a row now.

How much is he on?

Not as much as you'd think, I'd imagine.  PSG wanted him, but he wanted to stay in the North West as his children are in school.  We did him a favour with the deal, and I remember reading that he took a big pay cut from his £80,000 per week City wages.

Lets say he is on £50k, do you think he is worth keeping for another season.

I read somewhere it would be just this one year, thats why I asked the original question.
