Good 5-0 win but useless result really, there is nothing to play for in the league apart from pride. Our players yet again perform when there is no pressure on them. If we string a couple of wins together and get back within 6 points (or something similar) off the top 4 we'll just get another Aston Villa/West Brom performance by the players.

 

So the flipside of that type of attitude is a 0-5 loss would just mean a shrug of the shoulders and a 'No big deal, we were only playing for pride anyway' throwaway line from supporters?

It was a green light kind of day. Even the Borini injury now saves Rodgers from dealing with the awkward questions of how the deal which was done to bring him here came about.

Coutinho looked good, his goal will boosts his confidence, with the SAS in fine form, Luis revelling in the extra space that Sturridge creates for him.
