Good 5-0 win but useless result really, there is nothing to play for in the league apart from pride. Our players yet again perform when there is no pressure on them. If we string a couple of wins together and get back within 6 points (or something similar) off the top 4 we'll just get another Aston Villa/West Brom performance by the players.

So the flipside of that type of attitude is a 0-5 loss would just mean a shrug of the shoulders and a 'No big deal, we were only playing for pride anyway' throwaway line from supporters?

Highly unlikely.....actually, not a fucking chance.

Swansea rolled the dice and lost out massively. I don't care what anyone says, for the players playing today who will also start on Sunday, a 5-0 bumming can't do much for the confidence. Bradford will be absolutely up for it too, so it could really backfire on them.

Enrique's goal after that build up play was fucking ace.

Swansea punished for showing no respect. I don't like the way Sturridge and Suarez couldn't share a celebration, and hopefully theres nothing to read into. We could just sneak a win against Z in the 2nd leg, if we field a strong side, but will we concede?

Why was xerxes so slow back today?

Was it the soft shimmer of the winter dusk setting its icy fingers of darkness over the gladatorial arena that stopped him in his tracks?

Less dallying, more haste next time. We're lacking consistency here and its permeating the whole club.

Harry Redknapp was at the game and they had a twiffic cup of Bovril after the match

Yes, terrible when stats are used in a positive way instead of the usual here, to slaughter the manager

Stats don't slaughter managers, they merely distill the performances the manager is getting.

Back from the game at leisure .

You can only beat what is in front of you, and a comprehensive victory, which is what this was, should be savoured as a glass of chilled Chablis on a summer’s evening in the Dordogne.

A game replete with positives and superlatives enjoyed its finest moment with Enrique’s goal, as good a move as there has been at Anfield all season. Although Swansea had bigger fish to fry today, even their second string was better than Oldham whom we failed to beat in the cup, so no victory should be treated as a foregone conclusion and three points towards an EL place is welcome. Europe is as much in LFC’s DNA as it is in that of a Bootle Ciggy trafficker, and with domestic cup qualification now gone, the league is where we will win our berth, an EL campaign final triumph looking unlikely.

The shots rained in, and so did the goals as the ghost of KK’s “bad luck” was laid to rest with oward Webb being as generous to us in his decisions as anyone could have been. It was a green light kind of day. Even the Borini injury now saves Rodgers from dealing with the awkward questions of how the deal which was done to bring him here came about.

Coutinho looked good, his goal will boosts his confidence, with the SAS in fine form, Luis revelling in the extra space that Sturridge creates for him.

Seventh place, five goals, a clean sheet- a good day, even King Brenny's post match presser made sense!

Fuck off Stuart Hall, Prison awaits.

Some people are only happy when they are unhappy, Webb has been good to us this year.

The result just produces positives, a welcome change.

Refs are not supposed to be good or bad to teams, they are supposed to ref the game in front of them. He's only given what he really has to or what his linemen made him. He waved away the blatant foul for our first penalty, I was behind the lino for that one, clear as day. Thankfully it was given.

Webb is a cunt, much like you.
