Please don't take this as a weighted question, I've just not been concentrating on the updates recently and his status on the offal has changed from 'Caretaker Manager' to 'Manager'. I'm guessing no as his Wiki page still says Caretaker. And I can't find a thread on it. Thanks Thants

Start tonight. Predictably sky have been running with the 'two of the finest players in the world' on loop for the past 3 hours and will continue to do so. Hopefully Spurs get raped, it would be funny to watch.

Can we recall Darby from his loan at Notts County? If we can he's worth a look surely. I'd rather have him at right-back and Carra back in the middle than Carra at right-back and Soto at the centre on current form. There'd be less penalties awarded against us anyway.

I know Torres and Owen would be high up, but who else? When Adebayor buried that header tonight I would have been seething if I was a spud. Like I was when he did that obnoxious dance at Anfield before Babel had the last funky groove. If there's any justice in the world Adebayor will not net against the Reds again.

Liverpool sponsor wants Asian players on club - Westport News MANCHESTER, England (AP) — The bank that sponsors Liverpool wants the club to bring in high-profile Asian players. Standard Chartered executive Gavin Laws outlined his hopes for Liverpool in an interview with The Associated Press on Thursday, saying the bank sees great potential for the club to increase its exposure in the Asian market — where it does most of its business. "The real power for what Liverpool could do for us, and I think for the English Premier League, is if there was a way they could nurture foreign players from Asia ... a great Asian player — you see what Park Ji-sung does for Manch…

Is there any online database or schedule of the duration of some of our players' contracts? I'd be particularly interested in knowing how screwed we are with Jovanovic, Maxi, Soto, Cole, Poulsen, Konchesky, Ngog and Jones. Also, do we still own Degen and El Zhar?

Was just thinking about Kenny's tenure and I was trying to think of the last team we played off the park, cant think of one under Kenny but to be fair the only one I can thnk of this season was Blackburn at home for 70 minutes and Chelsea home first 45 minutes. well thats 1 point something! I think we have had patches under Kenny in games. However Kenny has been very Rafa like in picking his tactics and team selection to suit every game to suit the oppposition and most importantly has all the players playing for him. Just to take it a stage further how many teams did we play off the park last season as well, maybe we have to go back to the 86 point season to find …

Italian Football 1 2 3 4

I used to love watching Italian football on channel four, with Gazza, Platt, Ince and not to mention arguably the greatest club side ever with Milan. The league used to be full of stars and it was certainly the best league in the world in the early 90s. But now I literally won't watch any Italian league games, unless it is Inter vs Milan and even that, I'm not that arsed if I miss it. It is such a shame what a decline that league has had. Also the country doesn't seem to be producing great footballers anymore. The currently Italian team is not one to be feared, as it usually is by smaller footballing nations. Then you look at the problems in the Ita…

Roy Hodgson was given an astonishing £7.3million pay-off by Liverpool after his six month reign at Anfield. The manager may not feel he had a chance to shine with Kenny Dalglish in the background, but he was compensated handsomely. When Fenway Sports Group bought Liverpool in October they were reluctant to look for a new manager and the pay-off Hodgson was due must have come into their thinking. The golden goodbye means Hodgson earned £8.8m in total during his time at the club, which works out at £45,833 for each of the 192 days he was in charge. He was back in work by Valentine’s Day at West Bromwich Albion — and inflicting more pain on his former …

Great character to have in any squad and a more than decent player to boot. --- Small Talk | Alvaro Arbeloa | Sid Lowe | Sport | guardian.co.uk The Real Madrid defender on his love for Liverpool, standing naked in front of the queen and whether Leo Messi could cut it on a cold night in Stoke Sid Lowe guardian.co.uk, Friday 1 April 2011 10.55 BST So, Alvaro, Real Madrid-Spurs … Yes. You sit there and wait and wait … and when they've opened the ball and they're there with the piece of paper in their hand and smiling, you're thinking: "Turn it ro…

Who Goes? You Decide! 1 2 3

OK Kenny will decide. But assuming we sign a centre back this summer, such as Cahill, for example - which centre back would you get rid of to make room? I think you can make a good argument for all three: - Agger, best option when fit. - Soto, happy to be on the bench but can be effective, is very good in the air. - Skrtel, is usually fit and more mobile than Soto.

Apparently he's a centre half. Well, I'll tell you what, if that's his best position, he must be some player there because he's fucking ace at right back. Going forward, he's a proper marauder; I love the way he just lengthens his stride to go past people and he uses the ball really well. On the back foot, he's very solid with my only question mark being that he can get done on the outside when trying to jockey an opponent from a standing start. However, that's just an experience thing. For me, there's absolutely no way Johnson should return there. For me, he's got one position to claim for himself next season and that's right midfield because he ain't shifting this l…

One of the ad's that the site is carrying at the moment is for a "guitar manufacturing company" called Trade Tang. Word of warning : don't touch these robbing, Chinese rip off bastards with a ten foot barge pole. Infamous for making cheapo, knock off, balsa wood copies. Notoriously difficult at trying to contact, complain to or negotiate refunds. The stuff on their site looks great, in fact it looks too good to be true...and that's because it is. Avoid.

I need three people to represent TLW on Koptalkin on LFCTV next week. You'd need to be at the studio for 1.45 on wednesday, and you'd get fifty quid for being on. I've got one person already, and I'm waiting for confirmation on a second. But the other place is up for grabs, so if you're interested put your name down on this thread and I'll pick someone in the next couple of days. I think this will be a regular thing, so if you don't get on this time there will be other opportunities.

Kennys spot on. Capello can go and fuck off. We've spent the last month being patient over his fitness and trying to get him back fit and now he wants to pick him. Its not as if he's consistant either, he doesnt pick the likes of Ferdinand or Lampard when they've only go an itchy arsehole. So why does he do it with our players? He done the same with Gerrard in November. refused to take him off and he got injured and he was out for a month. We had the same problem with Torres, Spain used to take him when he was half fit and he'd go and get injured. The club have to start standing up to this shite. they're our players.
