It's going to be a real fight over Brexit now. As it stands, his only choice is a no deal brexit because he isn't going to opt for a customs union and the EU aren't going to remove the backstop. Alternatively he could opt for an election and hope he gets a stronger coalition including the Brexit party, but thats a gamble I am sure he would prefer to avoid.

Interesting times for sure.

Loving the way political commentators like Ian Dunt are going ape shit over Johnson being PM so are dragging up his lies and deceit but at the same time calling out "Corbynistas" as childish and grotesque for dragging up Jo Swinson's abhorrent voting record

Probably because they don't agree with Leninist assessments of Jo Swinson's record? Just a thought, like.

She won't serve in a coalition with Corbyn over Brexit , ha ha , but she was quite happy to help Cameron usher in austerity. The only time her voting record was acceptable was when she took a week off to concentrate on fiddling her expenses.

I know Liberals aren't used to thinking about holding any power,  but electing this new leader is a gift to Labour in any GE.

Leninist assessment really?.....

I'd call it being a decent person bringing up a voting record the likes of Charles Kennedy and Paddy Ashdown would be ashamed of

I think he knows that he has a fair number of Tory MPs that won't vote for no deal, so he's going to try and get Labour MPs in leave seats to back it and in return offer large "redevelopment" bungs to areas that heavily voted leave like Stoke, Humberside, South Yorkshire etc. We've already seen a couple of Labour MPs Caroline Flint and Sarah Champion (who seem more arsed about keeping their seats than doing what they actually believe in) saying they will vote for no deal if it's the only way to deliver Brexit. I think there's a few more minded to do the same.

I think it will be touch and go and that we may end up leaving without a deal. If it happens I'm sure it will be the disaster that the civil service have warned them about and just hope it makes the Tories toxic for a generation or more.

Ian Dunt is an insufferable twat.

Has Trump asked Boris to produce his birth certificate to prove he was born in Britain yet? He was big on that kind of shit with Obama.

Is Boris going to act as POTUS (apologies) as well?

LOL, let me guess, it's because he doesn't like Corbyn?

He’s no different the other FBPE twats. He has nothing but contempt towards the majority who voted to leave the EU. James O’Brien is another one.

Of course the fact that he despises Corbyn doesn’t help.

If contempt for the idiots who have driven our economy off the cliff and bequeathed us Prime Minister Boris Johnson makes a person a twat, then the bar for twattery is being set very low.
