What I can say is its not the worst injury I've had, and for sure ill be fighting for my place next year when I'm back fitter and stronger!

 

Don´t know if it means after new year or next season.....

Yesterday was a fucking nightmare. Kelly now joins Lucas and probably Agger as long term injuries.

Enrique can step up hopefully. Kelly has been unlucky with injuries, always seems to pick them up just as he cements his place in the starting line up.

Oh marvellous. So that's Johnson back at RB and Enrique's Liverpool career thrown a lifeline, after Rodgers clearly didn't rate him.

As without playing Enrique, who Rodgers clearly doesn't rate or 'converting' Downing into a Footballer, those could be the main 2 options for now.

Looked similar to Skrtel doing his CL against City back in 2009. He injured himself in October and played again after Xmas.

I hope Robinson & Wisdom get plenty of Europa & League Cup action, but Prem-wise I think that we need to go with Johnson & Enrique at this stage.

Martin Kelly is likely to be out of action for a significant period of time after scans revealed he suffered an ACL rupture of his right knee during the match against Manchester United on Sunday.

 

The England international will now require ACL reconstruction.

 

Meanwhile, fellow defender Daniel Agger, who was stretchered off the pitch 13 minutes before Kelly limped out of action, has suffered a significant bone bruise to the left knee.

 

No ligament damage was sustained but further tests will be carried out before it can be established when he will be able to return to training.

 

To add to Brendan Rodgers' woes, Fabio Borini has considerable swelling to the inner aspect of his right ankle though no fracture was detected on the X-ray.

 

The club's medical staff will wait for the swelling to reduce before an MRI scan can take place tomorrow to assess any soft tissue damage and determine when he may be able to return to playing.

But the club should still highlight this and all the other incidents at least publicly.

ACL reconstruction and rehab is about 18 months.
