I had my doubts, those doubts are now confirmed

usually i write a long, waffling, self-righteous critique full of hyperbole but you know what, they aren't even worthy of that

they have let the fans down, they have let the club down, they have let the manager down

these guys ain't going to take us back to where we belong, that much is clear

the superfans will come on and say "well dempsey was never good enough..." "but we signed this guy...." but we have two forwards and neither of them are out and out strikers, so the truth is we don't have an out and out striker at the club

we have bought about 4/5 and let go about 10/12

and of course all this while we want to make the leap to CL

tom werner said we could compete with anybody in the transfer market, that is his "spade in the ground" comment - destined to haunt him now as we slowly realise we are owned by yet more yank bullshitters

oh and speaking of spades in the ground, those clowns still have yet to even make a decision on a stadium, never mind start the actual work

so another season in mid-table it is then, thank you fsg, than you ayre, you clueless useless morons - switching strategies and plans every five minutes and spin, spin and more spin to the fans

would a general manager have been as incompetent as ayre during this last few days?

the man i feel most sorry for is rodgers - he has obviously been lied to and misled

so another season wasted and more wasters letting the club down, hope the can lvie with themselves

Some of us have been intimating for weeks that we would come out of this transfer window weaker than we went into it, and we've copped a ton of flak for it, yet here we are, proven right again. I just hope those who labelled us kneejerk cranks are big enough to admit they were wrong.

Looking at those freaks down at Loftus road buying a full dozen bloody mercenaries makes me glad that we aren't just willy nilly firing pounds around on deadline day looking for some " cheap deals" from the bargain basket.

If self sustainability is our goal then that near £6m quid plus the wages will be available for us in later transfer windows and we can make sure we do not waste it like we did we did in the last incredibly incompetent and embarrassing windows.

Do we forget that we have a £20m trainee left back and £18m 6th choice midfielder at our club, as well as £6m a year winger who we can't dump out on a loan deal.

Kenny and Comolli, it couldn't possibly have been anymore shambolic.

Yeah... or it might be something to do with the £70+ million wasted on players during the last two transfer windows...

agred, comolli and dalglish made possibly the biggest fuck-up in transfer market history but

why was rodgers saying we would still get a few in?

why did we let players leave if we had no replacements lined up?

why did we put all our eggs in the dempsey basket knowing full well they were pissed off at us?

why had we no contingency plans in place?

why was a man like ayre, with zero experience, chosen to oversee our transfers?

why did fsg make a big song and dance about having a new management structure in place to avoid precisely these kind of fuck-ups and then cave in the space of about 30 seconds when rodgers said "nah - i don't really fancy that"?

why are we still waiting for stadium news?

....oh well, at least cole is still at the club

Joe cole is still here hahaha fuck I just forgot about that!

Rodgers mentioned him the other day (didn't say his name, but we know it was cole he was talking about) saying he costing us 5-6million a year on wages, and won't be playing many games.

Somehow he is still here and will be picking up his 100k a week wage, why wasn't he the first player out the door, seeing as our priority this summer was to cut the wage bill?

It's interesting to note that FSG are routinely absolved of any responsibility for appointing Kenny and particularly Commolli (within a matter of days) or for that matter signing off on these deals.

That £70+ million didn't largely come from FSG's own pockets so it's peculiar that there should now be a 'price to pay' or punishment taken out on their own club?

I don't think anything has been proven about whether we are stronger or weaker. My own view is that we are stronger than at the start of the window, though obviously today was a disappointment as we needed a striker.

Most of the people who left were either fading players who were long past their best, or fringe younger players who were not going to make it. Carroll is the big exception as he is younger and very expensive, although his four league goals from last season will not be too difficult to improve upon. If he wasn't going to feature then getting the wages off the books was the right move, and a loan puts him in the shop window more than sitting on our bench would do.

Still, I do agree with the sense of disappointment over not bringing another striker in as we are short up top. The defence and the midfield looks excellent to me though.

Quoted for truth lol.

There are people crying about us not signing Clint Dempsey when there are still some gilded turds to be flushed. If anything, the apparent inability (unwillingness?) to bring in a goalscorer should at least earn Rodgers some sympathy if we're languishing come January.

N.B. Use of "should" in the conditional.

Kuyt. Maxi. Bellamy. Adam. Spearing. Carroll. Aurelio. Eccleston. Doni. Aquilani.Darby,Amoo out

5 in.

That's 9 senior players and 3 young ones out

5 in, and 2 of them are young players who won't be straight in the first team.

Anyone saying this has been a good window is deluded.

It would have been 13 but I reckon Rogers pulled the Pacheco deal after realising he had been ****** over by the owners/Ayre

We have to look deeper than simply saying 12 out and 5 in. Of the twelve out, how many will be seriously missed? How many of them would have got anywhere near the team this year?

Of the five incoming, Allen and Sahin will go straight in (Sahin yet to be seen in a red shirt, but if he reproduces his Bundesliga form he will be a huge plus) and Borini will likely feature regularly, especially since Carroll has gone out on loan and we did not bring another striker in.

I would say the five incoming will impact the team to a far greater degree than the twelve outgoing. We are stronger for the window, albeit the numbers are a bit low, and we are in need of another striker.

It is what it is!

I'd rather do nothing than panic buy. Rodgers is unproven. Lets not forget he categorically rejected a D of F, so we are where are, and it's down to Brendan.

There are signs he knows what he's doing and he has the balls to stand by his ideas.

So I'm OK with it. Give him time and don't blame FSG.

To Nathan.

I'm new here but u may be the biggest duchebag I've ever witnessed. Ayers is a tossrr and fsg who rescued us from hicks and Gillette and pumped 140m into the club in players can f off. Kenny and Comolli must have thought they were using Francs not Sterling. Downing for 20m is now a 2nd team left back behind Enrique, Johnson and Robinson. Henderson couldn't find anfield with a map. Charlie Adam, set piece specialist who couldn't hit a barn door and drains an ancho.......

We got Sahin on loan who is twice the player Modric is who cost 33m. Allen is worth 15m perhaps more. A new exciting winger and Sterling given a chance. The potential of 18m for carrol when he is worth no mor than crouch and you are fucking moaning.

Twat.
