I would have found it difficult to believe Naismith could talk more shit than he plays.  But there you go.  They were atrocious tonight.  None of that midfield wanted any responsibility, until that oviedo comes on, and he's just shite.  Miralis has shit the team bed there - he'll be off very soon, I would have thought.

All in all a wonderful night.

Luckily I have missed this game, but can anyone explain why Baines didn't take the penalty?

Mirallas took it off him and took the penalty and missed. Naismith had a go at him and there were rumours of a dressing room bust up at half time. Mirallas didn't come out for the second half.

Mirallas just wanted to be in Stallone's video.

If they're going to pretend Tony Bellew is a world champion he can be forgiven for closing his eyes and thinking he's lining one up for the World Cup itself.

Just a pity he didn't wait until he'd taken it before he closed them.

I didn't see the game but how the fuck did Spurs manage to beat Chelsea 5-3 the other week, genuine question?

Kane was excellent, just ran straight at Terry and Cahill and exposed their lack of pace. Caused them all sorts of problems.

Neither Terry or Cahill are great players really. Good at all the ale house stuff, heading it away, jumping in front of shots, etc, and I'm not belittling that side of the game, but they're both slow and pretty shit on the ball. Having probably the second best keeper on the planet behind them, a top class holding midfielder in front of them, and playing for a very tactically astute manager, makes their job much easier if you don't get them out of their comfort zone. Kane did, and it worked.

As did Sterling for his goal last night.

Need more of it next week
