Guardian saying independent calculations put Covid losses at £103m. Independent calculations? Who by - U.S. Manov Accountancy Ltd? Fuck off.

Haha, so without the impact of covid where they wouldnt have had a near £20m 'covid business interuption' loan to lessen their overall loss, they'd only have lost £20m (total £120m loss less £103m losses due to covid?)?

Utter bollocks. Why are these papers falling over themselves to swallow the shite's shite?

Who are they trying to jib?

The Esk has spoken. He is not impressed. You have to worry for them, you really do.

https://theesk.org/2022/03/29/everton-report-accounts-for-year-ending-june-2021-wholly-dependent-on-moshiris-financial-support/

"It is remarkable that Everton have attributed such losses when compared to how other clubs have presented the impact of Covid in their accounts."

Aint that the truth?! It seems like they have rolled up most of the losses and casually said to the PL 'Oh, we've been badly hit by covid so our losses are bigger than we expected'!

That might be but when your losses are more than any other club in the PL during the same period, serious questions should be asked.

It is going to be boss watching it all fall apart.

It is totally unsustainable, there is clearly no cogent plan to fix it all and they are pretty much in denial as a club/are lying to themselves.

In short - they are fucked and fuck them.

How were they badly affected by Covid when their gate income is only £12m and then there were a few games played that enabled them to claw back £200,000 when there were reduced capacities?.

They didn't qualify for Europe and did their usual cup routine of going out early. Contrast that to us who will have lost 95% of £84m in addition to 3 CL group games, one played in Budapest and another one against Real Madrid behind closed doors.

They were probably on TV more than usual as well.

It will speed it up a lot quicker if they get relegated.

Worked with a couple of bad bitters who always used to refer to us as "The new Leeds". Also, that we would never compete with them.as we have tight arse American owners and they had unlimited funds from Moshiri and Uncle Uzzy.

If I am having a bad day I immediately think of the three of them knowing they are shitting themselves about their clubs plight and know that every time we have any success it ruins their day, weekend or their very existence.

TK will be along in a minute to point out that signing shitty overpriced players and giving them ridiculously massive wages is a side effect of the vaccine.

There's no real money or glamour with them. At least when Newcastle were bought they have a large stadium and fan base in a one club city. They were relatively cheap at £300m as Ahsley hadn't built up a massive debt because he'd spent next to nothing on them for years.

Moshiri will want some, if not all his money back, their stadium is a relic and they've dragged their feet for 6 years building a new one. They have no commercial growth as they've marketed themselves on being a bitter envious parochial club and are permanently in our shadow.

No one would buy Espanyol without a new stadium and a massive debt. Hopefully they get relegated and end up like Sunderland.

They've a very decent former academy player on loan at Sunderland right now, Nathan Broadhead. Striker.

How the fuck is their turnover so low? If 140 odd million is from TV money they are only managing to make 50 million or so from tickets, shirt sales, merchandise and sponsorship.

It's actually kind of impressive how they seem to be managing to produce so little income.

Don't fear for them, they have a plan. Usually involves selling all there best players and then......Abracadabra.

Bazunu looks like a very good keeper. With City they may sell but with a release clause or there could be a long term loan to be done for 2-3 years which could enable us to sell Pickford e g £40mil and use the money on other positions.
Its a good plan to look at the likes of Johnson and Knight etc in the championship.
How about France as well? Just to throw this out there, if we did make some big sales this is whats available in France + plenty more ive not mentioned as well;
Hugo Ekitike: Close to joining Newcastle for £33mil + bonuses. Only turning 20 in June, 6'2 and scores a goal every 2 games at centre forward.
Amine Gouiri: Can play up front or cutting inside from the left. Technically another level from what weve seen in years (bar James) and seen as the next Benzema.
Aurelien Tchouameni: Now a 22 year old French international at Monaco who is built like a monster. Someone who would be comfortable if we play 2 in midfield.
Boubakar Kamara: Another 22 year old who has moved into defensive midfield having previously played at centre back. Quick and a solid all round player.
Benoit Badiashile: Left footed centre back who captains France u21s. Just turned 21 a couple of days ago, athletic, mobile and a beast.

People are quite negative on who we could attract but we are:
A premier league team
We can pay good wages
Lampard has developed kids into top internationals
We could be seen as a stepping stone for some.
There are players in England, France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Spain etc that not every top club can sign...

I'd love to know one player Lampard has turned into what they consider to be a 'top international'. Notwithstanding the fact he's shite, but he simply hasn't been anywhere long enough to be able to be given the credit for making any player, let alone kids, a level better than they were, before even thinking about getting to a level that's considered a 'top international'.

I think the supposed evidence begins and ends with Mason Mount.

I wonder if it felt mad to the poster even writing that out.

And it was a record turnover. Didn't the TV deal increase slightly during the pandemic?
