Have faith. They require worldies to score and they are still right on the shit, no matter how well they play. After that performance it’s still two points lost.

Why? Point stands, 10 points from 15 at home from Dyche. Safe as houses, they’re going nowhere.

Only 4 Home games left, at this rate that's 8 points, the games are against Fulham, City, Newcastle and Bournemouth.  8 home points get them to 35, that should be enough unless we do the decent thing and hand Leeds, Leicester and Southampton the easy points we gave Forest and Bournemouth and of course the Premier league don't deduct points.

How are they getting 4 points each from Fulham and Bournemouth? They won’t get anything from City or Newcastle.

They’ll beat Fulham and Bournemouth and draw with Newcastle, they’ll lose to City. They’ll pick a few points up away as well, reckon they’ll take a point from Utd at the weekend. They’re going nowhere unfortunately.

That will be 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats, they aren't good enough for that kind of return. The numbers will catch up with them, defenders can't keep scoring their goals.

Sad but Everton show way more fight than our players are bothering too. In terms of quality they are wank but they will stay up through effort.

Exactly my sentiments watching the last 15 minutes of that match. I said on another thread that maybe Juergen needs a Ronnie Moran type to put a rocket up a few of our lads.

If only we had someone with an encyclopaedic knowledge of intensity.

I tend to agree with you. They've no goalscorers though and that might be their undoing.

Whilst they are not certainties for the drop I'm not yet subscribing to this notion they're safe just yet.

They are now harder to beat but they fo not score enough goals, relying on set pieces and once a year goal contributions from the likes of Coleman and Keane, that is not sustainable.

This could still be a lottery and I can see a scenario on the last day where no team is yet to be confirmed relegated and it's 3 from 5, maybe even 6 for a final day relegation dogfight for the ages.

If the best we can hope for is that Everton are in that mix on final day then I'm okay with that (and us taking part but losing away at Southampton), not that we would be throwing the game like, we wouldn't need to.
