Petition to reinstate Rafael Benitez as LFC Manager

Recommended Posts

Interesting opinion. Now that's a managerial view. Let's widen that to a fan's view. Will Roy practice as he preaches, and relinquish his highly paid contract to allow the club to bring another manager in if that's what they want to do?
That is of course reliant on the owners wanting him to relinquish his highly paid contract.

Fuck off with your stupid petition to get Rafa back. He wasnt the right man for the past 4 yrs and he's not the right man now. Neither is Woy. Not sure wether Deschamp is the answer but happy to see him linked today - hopefully the owners are intent on replacing Woy ASAP

Benitez's could have licked Alonso's arse on the Town hall steps and begged him to stay, his mind was made up once Madrid came calling, he was always going to return home.

12 months earlier it would be true to say that Benitez unsettled Xabi during the Barrygate saga,so lets peddling the myth that Alonso was forced screaming and kicking to Madrid.

It was a good deal for Xabi and a good deal for Liverpool who 12 months earlier where struggling to get £15m for Alonso and a season on doubled that figure.

Lets put this to bed once and for all,Benitez's NEVER forced Alonso out of the Club.

He forced him to look elsewhere and Alonso lost trust in - and respect for - Benitez a year before he eventually left. He wasn't going to stay working for him after that.

With the greatest of respect Mick,Kenny took over 25 years ago, because it worked for Kenny doesn't mean it would work for Carra.

The new Manager needs to know but the British and European markets and play a more expansive type of game.

Houllier and Rafa's strength was to play on the counter,I hope the next manager plays a more open style.

A reppable post by Durango. Happy Christmas John.

That's probably as fair a statement on it as you'll find.

Manager wants to move on player, player resists move but eventually decides it's best.

how can anyone say that? between a european cup final and our best title challenge in 20 years, how can anyone say that?

rafa had one bad season in 6 and he put up with more rubbish than probably any of our managers in recent times.

The whole basis of the get rid of Benitez argument, I take it was that some supporters thought we’d be better off without him, so:

Some where happy, and advocated Hodgsons appointment at the time.

Some thought we should get rid but weren’t sure of an obvious replacement.

Some thought we should get rid cause Mourinho / etc. would jump at the chance

Some for their own personal reasons they placed above that of the club.

The first in the list is forgivable as we can all make mistakes, the second and third point to fuckwits, the third unforgivable and you’re a devious shit.

Feel free to add to the list but which are you?

FFS this shit is still going on.

Taking a look back, have definitely become more cynical to a point where I don’t like, since this Woy's been in charged can't even be arsed watching us anymore so why do I post, gonna stop and call it quits.

The team under performed and played God awful dire football under Rafa and his ego. He got lucky in the CL and we had two decent league seasons out of 6. Rafa has been found out big time at Inter and fair play to them for acting so swiftly.

Since 1995, thats 16 seasons, we have finished outside the top 4 four times, that 1/4 of the time.

In Rafa`s 6 seasons here he finished outside the top 4 two times, thats 1/3 of the time.

How could we let this saviour go?

Why stop at 16 season's or have you stopped at the seasons which affected your percentages? Why not 25, 30, 40?

You're a genius!

I just calculated that we finished outside the top four 3 out of 3 times during 92-94. Which is 100% of the time. This scientifically proves that Rafa's record is good. And a few other things if you need something proved.
