Another subtle downgrading of the first team and squad by the fucking parasites.

Cleverly done. Big marquee signing on the cheap to distract those amongst us who aren't paying too much attention. Wage bill cut. Enough wheeling and dealing to muddy the waters. No major money spent. Just enough quality brought in to prevent a mass uprising in the fanbase.

The fucking cunts treat us like pricks. Welcome to Liverpool FC.

You've nailed it.

For those talking about priorities; alleviating some of the pressure off Torres should have been of the utmost priority this summer.

Spot on, it was like the wank fest that happened when we signed the legend that is Joe Cole and the supposed gratitude for retaining gerrard and torres. The fact is so many of our fans are just plainly ignorant or don't want to face the reality that we have an average manager, signed average players and are royaly fcuked as a club.

But hey everything will be fine we have Joe Cole and Konchesky led by the great Hodgson.

The only player we have lost that I will genuinely miss is Mascha, I am pleased however to see that Poulsen's ability has been grossly under-estimated. We have a better left back. More options in the middle. Yes we've cut our wage bill, but it was the most disproportionately large wage bill in the league and of course has been severed by the removal of a fair few overpaid shitbags. We have brought in a few quality faces to replace them and I think we are in a stronger position.

I don't care about "major" money being spent, I'd rather see less money spent intelligently than major funds being wasted on mediocre fare as we have seen in recent years.

However, despite how much I disagree with your post, kudos for the inclusion of a Flux of Pink Indians album title (intentional or not). Class band.

No wonder we're fucked as a club.

What planet are you on? The number of world class players we had you could count on one hand and now there is one less that Masch has gone it is another weakening of our team. A better left back? how did you figure that out if i was to ask you to name a possible left back for liverpool you would never have suggested Konchesky because he is crap yet suddenly he is the best option we have oh wait unless you mean Aurelio who we resigned despite being constantly injured yet couldn't keep Aqua. We have signed MEDIOCRE players yet again yet to you these players are intelligent signings. Get in the real world it is fans like you who let the parasites rape our club with your bollocks of a defence of paltry summer spending.

We've no cover for Torres.

Kuyt, Babel, N`Gog and Jovanovic.

For a team that will play with 1 striker I think its enough, especially in numbers, then we just have to wait and see how the player with genuine pace, who actually can be a like for like replacement will do if he for the first time in his Livepool career will be used as a striker, his preferred position.

We've lost a world class midfielder.

We`ve lost a specialised DM who did not work together with our other CM`s because of the similar abilities.

Some might even class him a luxury player considering our wide players and their lack of attacking abilty which again mean we need more from our CM than Mascherano could offer.

He has now been replaced by a more complete midfielder and in my eyes a better player who again will complete our set up much better than Mascherano ever did.

We've yet again made a profit in the transfer window and people think this has been a good summer for the club.

Retaining star names shouldn't be classed as a success either.

We all would have liked to spend more, but I`m even more sure people dont want us to do a new Leeds.

That's enough to keep the cunts here till January and by then FT will have had enough and will be sold for £40M to keep them going till the summer sellout. From January we will have to rely on Babel and Ngog for our goals. We are fucked to within an inch of our lives. Lucky to get top 7 at this rate.

What makes you think the money has been well spent?

We've signed J.Cole who Chelsea were happy to let go and get Benayoun instead and Capello didn't even want to play him, wonder why?

We've signed Poulsen who isn't as good as Momo, and we sold Momo and upgraded by getting Mascherano in to replace him, 1 step forward 2 steps back?

Konchesky who never gets into the England squad, and is behind Warnock who again, wasn't good enough for us before, 1 step forward 2 steps back again.

Yeah, well spent.

The saddest thing about all this is the fans accepting mediocrity and trying to make out the signing as good when infact they are shit.

Where has the £31 million from our exploits in Europe last season gone?

£42 million raised in player sales, £25 million reinvested.

How much do you think we're saving on the wage budget now? About £10 million?

And people are trying to justify all this with half arsed opinions about our new signings and saying the squad has improved when the evidence patently proves otherwise.

Yeah, we're fucked.

Those are the same options we had last season with the excpetion of jova as for Babel used in his preferred position it is funny how Holland never play him as a striker seeing as it is his preferred position.

Absoloute bollocks, his partnership with Alonso was the best in Europe he was no fucking luxury when we finished second. Yet somehow it is his fault Alonson wanted to leave and was replaced by a distinctly average player in Lucas. He is is WORLD CLASS and you can try and re-write history as much as you want but the facts speak for themself.

He has now been replaced by a more complete midfielder and in my eyes a better player who again will complete our set up much better than Mascherano ever did.

A more complete midfielder? how the hell do you know that i put money on the fact that you didn't even know who he was until he signed yet suddenly become better than the best DM player in the world. You mate talk crap.

We all would have liked to spend more, but I`m even more sure people dont want us to do a new Leeds.

Like to spend more? we spent fuck all even sunderland and Stoke targetted better players than we did.

True, I said as much, but he has been pushing for this move for years. Get over it, any player who doesn't want to play for the shirt shouldn't be cried over. We've brought in two good playesr for him, one of which is of the ilk we should have been signing after selling Xabi.

Not sure how Aqua fits into this point... Konchesky is better than last season's left back, he is better than Agger at left back and actually lets our best CB play in the middle. Which is a bonus.

We have signed MEDIOCRE players yet again yet to you these players are intelligent signings. Get in the real world it is fans like you who let the parasites rape our club with your bollocks of a defence of paltry summer spending.

Maybe you need to get in the real world and appreciate that this club has to watch it's balance to ensure that it continues to exist, the people minding the affairs of the club will ensure that we have the cashflow to prevent a winding up order being served, it's their job. Efforts aimed at anything less would be professional negligence. Roy has to operate within these margins.

Ranting about the owners is not presenting yourself as knowledgable, it's stating the obvious. We all know the root cause of the club's problems. But ignoring it and spending irresponsibly is no way to solve the problem.

It's the club being run responsibly (or as close to a semblance of responsibility as we can hope for under C&A). The shape of the squad is a concurrent concern to the status of the club's ownership and needed to be dealt with as best as possible. The fact that despite the constraints we are in a stronger position now than we were a year ago makes this a positive summer.
