Excellent day today. 2 good goals aganst a side who had a lot of possession but little threat (much like Evans' Liverpool versus ManU circa 96/97 and 97/98). Every player stepped it up which was great to see, and Pepe running like a lunatic at the end was brilliant.

 

Regarding Carra's yellow card. Yes it was a foul but Owen was actually running into him causing Carra to start losing his balance. I also don't think Owen would have been away as clearly as many seem to think. However I understand how it could easily have been a red card.

 

By contrast, Vidic was miles behind his teammates, lost the flight of the ball, and contrived to resort to his patented WWE grapple-hold. That one was clear as day, made funnier by how much verbals Vidic gave Carra only moments earlier for getting away with it.

 

Lastly, nice to see Sami in the crowd today.
