The only good thing from last night was Ferguson's little tiff with ronaldo when he skied a shot. Ferguson was doing his "I'm trying to fly but can't" dance that he does at referees and the like and Ronaldo looked straight at the bench and said "what?".

If we'd won all our games we would already have won the title. It's unforgivable.

 

After we beat united everyone suddenly realised we were still in it, especially when they went and Lost to Fulham. Arsenal aside, we have done our side of the bargain. The problem is united didn't read the script. we have been fantastic since then. Those macheda goals were what did it for me, they got united back upright after the stumble looked like turning into an embarrassing fall. but, in the end, they got the points and stabilised.

 

As i have said, possibly on this thread even but i think it deserves a repeat, for us to win it without relying on them to slip up, we would have had to get the second highest points total in 30 years and the highest of any liverpool team since 1979. that includes the entire 80s when we were fucking amazing. things have changed a lot since then. You have to be very, very good to win the league now. We can stamp our feet all we like, but that isn't going to change it. United getting 18 titles and the possible 19 is a massive monkey on our back. Yes, second is nothing really, you get no prizes for it, but that doesn't mean you can just dismiss an entire season as shit. What is the point of that. Or is 2nd really the same as finishing 17th?
