I have been well impressed with myself for old school drinking stamina this weekend.

Went out on Friday night for a bit of a pub crawl with my dad and a couple of mates and had a few beers so felt slightly dubious on Saturday morning, but not too bad.  Then went out for a mates 40th birthday (yes, I am getting old) on Saturday.  Started at 6pm, got home about 3am.  The last bar we went to the doorman didn’t want to let me in as he said I looked too drunk, which hasn’t happened in a good 10 years.  He let me in but said I was only allowed one drink.  I had two.  In your face, door bitch.

Had to take my lad to one of his mates 5th birthday party starting at 9.30am on Sunday, at which I was still rather pissed.  Ate a piece of birthday cake, three cornflake cakes and a load of sweets.  Because of this I had no hangover whatsoever.

Then made it back to the pub by 5pm that afternoon for a few bevvies and some early dinner.  I think I might still be a little drunk now in work.

Is it just me, or does your post look slightly pissed?

Can't drink port in any kind of quantity, I like the stuff but it's strictly a one glass thing for me.  I've had a couple of Budvars tonight whilst watching the cricket and I'm weighing up whether to have a Jack Daniels or a Jura to round the evening off.  Or both.

After promising myself all last week that this weekend would be dry, I ended up drunk on Friday then carried it on Saturday. I have that absent feeling today, I feel weak, tired and fragile. I'm fantasising about getting in bed as soon as I get in. I'm not drinking next weekend.
