He's become somewhat of a whipping boy of late but once again tonight, I thought he was Magnificent. I'd actually give him Man of the Match ahead of Torres and Alonso.

 

His energy when getting up and down that line is fantastic and he causes lot's of problems. He seems to have struck up a neat little understanding with Dirk as well.

 

I'm chuffed to bits with him at present and think he is a great little player.

Im a big fan of Alberts, but I was one of those calling for him to be sold in summer to free up funds for other areas.

 

But after a shaky start to the season, hes been superb. I think he is good going forward, but its just that hes not naturally used to bombing on like someone like Bosingwa or Evra is. He has ability going forward, but I think hes a defence first, attack second kind of full back which is fine by me.

 

Hes a very valuable member of the squad as he also gives us cover on the left, and in the centre aswell. I do feel however, that he will be replaced by someone better in the next season or two, but would be more than happy for him to stay.
