End of a era coming

 

As someone born in the early 80s by the time i went to school and definitely by the time i hit secondary school it was shit. The mancs lording it and the "Its our year" taunts. Slowly started to change under Houllier, then Rafa got some success but Klopp took us to a level none of my generation had seen. So with that whats your best XI and 1 game changing sub from the past 25 years. 

 

Mine 

I'll take Milner as the sub so he can come on play anywhere and kick people

I think the only places that might get argued is Hyypia,Carragher,Matip and the striker. As Bobby,Torres or Owen would all get a shout. Coutinho had it ended better, he was nearly the sub. 

 

Would feel a bit sly on Gini who i thought was superb for us. His goals in the first couple of years seem to get forgotten. He didn't score loads but he score big goals in big games

 

In his first season scored the winner vs City,equaliser vs Chelsea and the 3rd to kill off Arsenal in a 3-1 and then on the last day when we had to win killed the nerves scoring the first in added on time in the first half vs Boro. The next year the goal away at Roma in the semi final. And then a few in the title winning season and Barcelona 2nd leg

Mascherano for Fabinho was another one but Mascherano wasn't here long enough.

Maybe a little harsh on Sakho, who was an okay footballer, whatever about the attitude. Scored against Dortmund in that epic too. 
 

Put that Wilson we signed from Rangers in there.
 

And maybe Jovanovic for Pennant and Poulsen for Spearing.

 

Basically every Purslow/Hodgson signing.

Milner would not even be in the squad, bang average player at Liverpool level. 
 

He might get into one of these squads at  Villa or Leeds, not even fuckin close here.

Lee’s line up is right but I’d put Gerrard next to Alonso and Torres up with Suarez. Fernando Torres was fucking unreal.

We've really have had some of the best strikers over the years haven't we.

 

Not sure I ever recovered from Torres leaving tbh.
