Barca are really shopping around in the bargain basement for anyone with a “name”. We should be asking them if they’re interested in a Brazilian false 9 with only 1 year left on his deal at Liverpool.

I quite like the business they're doing at the moment, a lot of the 'names' are players that can bridge gaps in the team at relatively low cost (certainly in terms of transfer fees) that'll allow them to ship out some of the even older players and continue to get the finances under control supplemented by some brilliant young players.

Kessie will give them a great alternative to De Jong, Pedri and Gavi.

Also, Ferran Torres, who was clearly simply a money laundering operation, has 11 goals and assists in 14 games since he went there. It's almost like he's a good player and Barca payed around market value for a talented and productive 22 year old.

Fucking crisis club one minute, next minute they've got a midfield of Gavi, Pedro, Kessie, De Jong.

So 55mil with another 10 added in bonuses for someone with 14 games(im guessing subbed?) Has he been injured most of the time ? Or did he just arrive at barca ?

We'll be looking at bigger fish than Gravenberch. He'll probably end up being really good, but that's more because Bayern are well run and they'll maximise his talent. We should be looking at Ajax's right back as a backup to Trent.

Does anyone remember than Senegalese coach that got laughed at when he said Southampton's Sadio Mane could one day win a Balon d'Or? In a similar vein, one of Sporting's youth coaches has said a player called Rafael Leao (who plays for Ac Milan) could be as good as Cristiano Ronaldo. City and us are both keeping tabs on him.

Isn't he set to sign a new contract with Milan, he's pushing 23 so he needs to get a move on and have that breakout year.

Not sure what that Ecuadorian player is like who we were linked to in January. Byron Castillo, he's a regular for the national team and only fairly young so again it depends whether a young player would come here to be a deputy for another young player. He was available for about £4m.

At least Tsimikas knows that Andy Robertson is 28 and he may have an injury or two when he gets older but he has a hope of displacing him eventually. Tsimikas has also had a decent amount of games this season and never let anyone down.

It's a difficult position to fill because whoever comes in knows they'll play second fiddle. I don't think we'll see anyone come in until Milner leaves.

I thought Divock was tied until summer 2023 so not sure why he would be a free this season.

That's what I thought. He's got an automatic 1 year extension if he plays a certain number of games though.

Rumours that United are interested in Pigeon Boy at Everton. More money wasted by the looks of things.

It’s tactical, keep Everton sweet as they know they will recoup that money back and more when the Ev pay over the odds for all the shite Utd will be looking to offload in the next couple of years

He is really, really good and is due a breakout season soon. Big, fast, strong, skilful with a decent eye for goal.

Fabian Ruiz at Napoli is another player well worth a look. Can play as an 8 or a 6, really good passer and unbelievable at shooting from outside the box. He was excellent against us in the two group games we had against them a couple of years ago.

I suppose if it’s beneficial to both parties they could just decide not to activate that clause. As long as he’s well payed he’s probably quite chuffed that he gets to go and warm the benches of Milan instead of Liverpool. He doesn’t seem that driven.

Liverpool are the clear front runners to sign exciting Derry teenager and Irish underage international Trent Kone-Doherty.

The flying winger turns 16 this summer and - unlike players in the 26 counties who cannot move until 18 on account of Brexit - he is still able to move to a club across the water.

It's anticipated that he will end up in Liverpool with the Premier League giants seeking to wrap up a pre-contract deal.

Kone-Doherty is a right footer who can play on either flank. He was involved with Ruaidhri Higgins' first team during pre-season and was on the bench for last week's Premier Division game with St Patrick's Athletic, but primarily trains and plays with Derry City's underage squads.

The player has a father of African heritage and a mother from Derry and is fully committed to the Republic of Ireland. He was involved with both Paul Osam's U-16 squad and Colin O'Brien's U-17 group last year.

Kone-Doherty has previously spent time training with Celtic but Liverpool have made an assertive move for his services with Derry in line for a six figure sum in compensation.
