Yeah, he really isn't good at this ol' politics lark, is he?

I despise him - absolutely despise him.

Especially way his arrogance and privilege always races to surface when he is pushed.

The Torygraph saying today that the 'battleground' at the next election will be on taxes. No doubt that inheritance tax cut, defending the biggest tax burden in peacetime history, and promising to pay for tax cuts for well-off people by further cutting budgets to starved public services will be to be a big winner.

Last month they were saying the Tories would take the fight to Labour on immigration. Last week they were saying that Sunak would take on Starmer in a battle of the personalities. Real fucking embarrassment of riches that the Tories have got up their sleeves. With the emphasis on 'embarrassment'.

The only people who give a shit about taxes are the super rich. Even if I had another 200 quid a month in my pocket, so fucking what. I'd rather have doctors, dentists and schools which aren't falling down, and so would 99% of people.

Short of incriminating photos of Starmer with livestock, or a change of Tory pm, I think the battle is over, its just the severity of the loss to be decided.

Never underestimate the stupidity, selfishness and cuntishness of swathes of people in this country.

I won't believe these bastards are dead until the coffin lid has been nailed shut, thrown in the ground and covered totally and I have not a lot of faith in the stupid, selfish and cunts in this country to do it.

You look at that timeline and it's just one liners. 'Small state, cut taxes, small state, cut taxes'.

Liz Truss did it - Liz Truss is gone.

These people aren't economic heavyweights, they're bums and grifters in the employ of kleptocrats.

When it floods down south, they're all out crying the blues crying for the army to turn up with sandbags. By rights I should begrudge them my hard-earned paying for squaddies to head down there seeing as I had the brains to buy a house on a hill, but I don't mind it because I'm not a cunt.

i think thats why they use the phrase "small state"

if they used the words..we are going to drastically cut the services which you rely on,the penny may drop for the thick cunts.

No!  We need to AVOID serfdom!  The only true way to avoid serfdom is to ensure there is no regulatory control / governmental intervention ("socialism").

That Friedrich Hayek sounds like a top bloke.

We need more Think Tanks....!

What a world.

I think you have grievously misunderstood Hayek if you believe he was a proponent of no government intervention.

I guess people in Birkenhead had some limited economic freedom until Lairds and the other employers closed and they then got told by Hayek’s worshippers they had the choice to get on their bike on 10 quid a week.

Funny though a generation before it was all King and Country, full employment,  and aircraft carriers with armoured decks that kamikazes bounced off.

Yeah, Hayek. Another fucking Austrian wrong’un.

Grant Shapps has been tipped to retire two assault ships to deal with a shortage of crews, it has been reported.

It is understood that the defence secretary aims to retire both HMS Albion and HMS Bulwark from active service ten years before their planned out-of-service dates.

Penny Maurdant's body language at PMQs was weird. Maybe its just her, but she looked distant, removed and unsupportive. Sunak's performance was poor. I wonder if they are all getting sick of him - it is a very weak front bench.

I thought the same. In fact I was going to post as much, but got distracted by my boiled egg and soldiers.

Same could be said of Oliver Dowden, who was sitting next to her. I think they probably are a bit sick of him, but it’s more that they know this Govt. is done and they’re wanting to get to whatever benefits them the most post general election.

There's something very modern Britain about everyone only giving a fuck about this post office scandal now it's been on the telly. Presumably all of this information had been available via other means?

Private Eye have been reporting on it for many years now.

Passing a new law to acquit people seems a bit iffy to me. No doubt they need their convictions quashed but that should be through the proper legal channels. This sets a precedent and I don’t trust these Tory twats one bit and can see them using this in the future for their own gain.
