Thought England played better in that 2nd half. Unbelievable VAR had to intervene for the 2nd pen but given the ref's wayward decision making in the game, cant say Im surprised. Cant see him getting the final after tonight's performance myself.

 

No excuse for a professional player to not hit the target with a pen. Kane's favourite side is obviously his left and seemed he wanted to make sure he hit it high into the net, guessing Lloris would go to his right 2nd time of asking. Think the ball came down with snow on it which is some going in Qatar!

 

To be honest, I didnt see England scoring from open play. They looked laboured and predictable. Slabhead's header off the post was the closest I think they came to scoring.

 

Still the dullards at the FA will offer Southgate another improved contract to tempt him to stay on. Things never change.

Cant say Ive seen one half decent ref. How you need VAR to give the 2nd pen should embarrass any ref.
