Walked past it on Saturday night, it is truly a sight to behold. Never been in there mind.

I used to go in there sometimes when I was in my late teens. We’d start with a breakfast in Wetherspoons, have one or two in the wine bar where you could buy/take drugs openly at half ten in the morning and then slowly work our way pub by pub back up to the Welly or the Dev in Dukesfield. If the drugs were good and we didn’t end up back at someone’s house we’d sometimes end up back down at Reno’s or the Royal in time to watch people glassing each other at 3am for the right to take a chubster home to Murdishaw in a taxi.

I was a bad knobhead, certainly, but in many ways they were simpler times.

There's a boss micro brewery/pub called Society by the Dev, great little place that does excellent selection of beers and great food and live music/vinyl nights.

The only place in Runcorn worth going to but it will soon get overrun with dickheads.

I’ve seen that on Facebook. Right under the arches? That’s where I grew up. That place wouldn’t have stood a chance 10-15 years ago but it seems even Runcorn has hipsters now.
