The problem is the owners. If Klopp walked (and I 100% don't think he should) they'd replace him with someone almost certainly inferior and we'd still not be spending decent money or doing good transfer business. So what's the point?

Even if you brought in one of the few managers who are really up there like Ancelotti he'd want to build a spine of a team and almost certainly wouldn't get the money.

We're trying to do top four on the cheap while giving the impression we're not. If we were out in a bar we'd be wearing a suit by Boss orange - bought from the catalogue.

If the owners are trying to do it on the cheap then why doesn't Klopp walk? Is he a patsy for them? It's a fallacy.

Of course FSG are trying to do it, relatively speaking, on the cheap - that's why they appointed Klopp. They want him to do what he did at Borussia Dortmund - develop young players and not kick up a fuss when they're sold, whilst qualifying for the Champions League. Winning the league would be a welcome bonus, but it's not the be all and end all, as they can't/won't compete with the Premier League's super powers.

Can't be chucking toys out of prams after 5 games. See where we are after 10 to 14 games.

But, there is definitely a sense of de ja vu about it all. Poor defending costing us points. And bossing games and not being clinical enough.

We've got time to change things. But not sure we have the players or depth to be looking at anything better than a top 4 place (at a push) and a domestic cup run.

Criminal that we haven't addressed the defence. And, personally, I think we're still crying out for a striker too. The AOC money definitely could've been spent better in other areas of the team.

It's not after 5 games though is it; it's after two years.

It's hard work at the moment but any talk of Klopp being jibbed now or soon is premature for me.

That said if the glaringly obvious problems aren't fixed, if we keep fucking up as regularly against shite teams and the stubborness in perservering with shite like Lovren and Klavan continues into next season then I don't think it is unreasonable to suggest that questions and big loud questions would be asked and fairly so.

As it stands it is as frustrating as it is early in the season and we can't change the squad until January....we have to hope that we can pick things up and that Klopp can fix problems.

It is of course really frustrating as most of us said we would find it hard with the extra workload this season and our failure to stengthen in key problem areas.

A big period is ahead of us between now and the next break for international shite and we come back (always seems a struggle for us after the break) to two really big and tough games...the mancs and spurs.

By end of october we are gonna really see where we are.

Not entirely. Not sure there's an argument against saying that we progressed last year. As we clearly did. Secured top 4 football. Played better on a more consistent basis, apart from a sticky spot around December and January. So, I don't entirely agree that the form we've shown early this season is reflective of a longer, two year period.

The aim this season should be to consolidate our top 4 position. Then, in the third season, push on again.

It's already looking like that may be a struggle. But, after 5 games last season, we had 10 points and there wasn't such doom and gloom. 8 points after 5 this season. A slight drop, but not to the extent that we should be writing off the season and callingfor the manager's head already. There's plenty of time to rectify a fairly poor start to the season.

No need to go full Everton just yet.

Not great going forward but that will happen from time to time

The atack still did enough to win a shite game but we cannot sort this shit out at the back. Every fucking week we give away at least one goal. Klopp has had long enough to see this yet still back our shite at the back and still thinks there is only one CB in the world who we could get that would be better long term.

Every forumite wants wise, old, experienced heads but collectively loses their own heads whenever we don't win a game by 2 clear goals.

Guilty as charged.

But to my defence I'd like to add that it's hard to accept that one of the richest clubs in world football isn't able to assemble a defence of mid table quality. And that any team from girls U8 and up will scare the shit out of us if they win a corner.

Think it's time for a formation change. We have too many players too high up the pitch for too long. And I know that's his game plan to win the ball back etc. We would need 2 Baresis and 2 maldinis in our set up at present.

We're gonna have to suck it up unless we miraculously find 2 hard bastards to sit in front of our back four and not budge.
